Roots And Wings

There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots; the other, wings.”

My Madison is off again, spreading her wings and flying back to Denmark!
My heart is sad. And happy.
Sad because I shall miss her so.
Happy because I am so proud of her.
If you think of it today, would you mind sending up a prayer for her and Nicolas' safe return to his home and family?

Thank you, my friends.
Have a cozy day.

  1. I will say a prayer for them right now! And an extra Hail Mary for you, because who could know a mama heart more?

  15. Hi~

They will be in my prayers.

One of my favorite quotes for sure! It's so true, we have so much to give our children, yet so little. Roots to always know they have a place to call home and to be grounded in love. Wings to fly, explore, and bring them back home safely.

Madison is such a beautiful, girl - like mother like daughter... :0) I loved seeing the photos! The time will go by so quickly, and she will be home in the blink of an eye.

    Warm Hugs,
    Barb

  19. I'm sure she is back by now, but I'll still say a prayer for them. I understand how you feel, missing the moments you once had in abundance with her but proud of the independent young person she has grown into. God bless & hugs. Juli
