Let's Bake Muffins!

Because who doesn't love a freshly baked muffin with her afternoon coffee? This recipe makes the most delicious and healthy muffins bursting with raspberry goodness. I will link the recipe down below, but don't be scared of the wheat germ like I was! I used fresh berries because I had some, but I am sure frozen would work just as well. And if you are feeling really brave, substitute unsweetened applesauce for the butter. Amazing!

Twenty

She is twenty! The little pink bundle we brought home to a thrilled big sister Madison is twenty. The tiniest of my babies, yet strong and determined, Peyton is gentle, happy, loyal, and kind. She is a best friend to all my children, in her special way to each. She is a hard worker and throws herself into everything she is interested in until she masters it. Case in point, sewing. A month ago, she couldn't sew at all. Today, with the help of her soon to be mother-in-law, she wore a shirt she made herself to her birthday celebration.

As I look back on these years spent with you Peyton, I am filled with memories of a three-year-old mixing pumpkin bread and brownie batter, cozy pajamas, days outside full of bikes, hula hoops, bubbles, and swings, hours of pushing a little one on the swing set talking about holidays, and your complete and utter joy at the birth of a younger sister. I remember how your two-year-old self took care of your baby brother and all the movies you two watched together. I smile at the special bond you and your father share, and I am happy, thankful, and blessed. This past year has brought many blessings for you, especially the amazing young man God picked for you to spend your life with. I love you, my little Peyton Rose! Happy Birthday! Love, Mommy

And Happy Monday, my friends.
While we are at it, Happy June!
