Random Photo Friday

This week was a whirlwind...and having Monday as a holiday always throws me off! Here are some totally random photos of the week that was in our country home.

In case you missed it...we had a Sweet Sixteen this week...

And my best friend Marian came up from the big city to help us celebrate.
Like always, I showed her a great time...I took her grocery shopping!
Thanks for pushing that second cart, Mar! : )

Memorial Day was fun...

And festive...

My kids were good sports about posing for the traditional Memorial Day-On-Our-Way-To-The-Parade picture...

We took our spot at the annual parade...

And enjoyed every minute of living in small town America.

We ate good too...
You must try this fruit dip...
8 oz. of softened cream cheese and 8 oz. of marshmallow cream.
Beat it up and start dipping!

And what's a holiday in our house without brownies?

And suddenly...its officially summer.
Well, not technically...but you get the idea.

Speaking of summer...I've been ironing...
Some really cute outfits...
For Disneyworld!
The countdown is on!

In totally unrelated news...these.
These. Are. Amazing.
And I usually avoid artificially flavored Oreos like the plague.
Seriously, I am an Oreo Snob.
But these?
Yes. Just yes.

Have a great weekend, my friends!
And don't forget...
The Miss USA Pageant is on Sunday night
At 7:00 on Fox.
We watch it together every year. : )

Thanks for visiting!

  4. Hi Billie Jo!

I love your photos today - your family is so cute! I wish we had more parades, the parades that we do have, usually consist of cheerleaders sitting in cars with the mayor or some such silly thing. I loved seeing the old firetruck, my father was a fireman and would have loved it!!

    Hugs,
    Barb

  7. Oh gosh, I laughed out loud at the picture of your dog. The look on Mocha's face just didn't match the comment!! Those Oreo S'mores might be a little dangerous in our house. Every time we walk by regular Oreos in the store Beth puts her hand in front of them and tells herself, "No! Keep walking!" She can't resist them! And she loves s'mores almost as much. So the two of them together?? Uh oh.

  8. Good morning Billie Jo,

You are so sweet to pop over to my neglected blog and say Hello to me. I love seeing your friendly, smiling face.

Your children are indeed sweet to pose for the traditional photo. I have worn my children out with photos. Now all I get to have are the occasional feet shot. They do not like having their photos blogged.

All that yummy food! Yum, yum, yum!

I love homemade desserts, and am a SNOB, as you put it, when it comes to store bought cakes, cookies, etc., but I do love my chocolate Oreos. Although, I must say that they have greatly reduced the size of the filling over the years; so the photo on the cover of the package is actually a huge lie on what the cookie really looks like. I am NOT happy about that.

I am so happy that summer has arrived. June IS summer, no matter what the calendar may say.

    Have a lovely Saturday,
    ♥Hope

  9. Oh I wish we had a memorial day parade here! We love parades but we get on at Christmas time. The photos are beautiful and happy sweet 16 again to Peyton! Such a gorgeous girl. Looks like a very busy week for y'all as it was for us too and I need to blog it ASAP. How do you schedule your posts? When my girls went to traditional school and before I got sick I blogged about 4 or 5 times a week! I think once a week will be all I could do for now, lol! But your week looks amazing! 😁😍

    1. Hello there! And thanks for your kind comment!
I try to stay on a blogging schedule...it helps!
I post on Monday...usually a bigger post. Wednesday I'll post a short One Word Wednesday, or a recipe. And Friday, I take all the extra pictures from the week and do the random photo post.
One thing I do is draft several posts at one time. Then I simply post them on a specific day.
I enjoy your posts so! And hope you are feeling better, : )

Happy Birthday to your Sweet 16! Oh and Disney World, man you guys are going to have an amazing time - we went for our first time last fall, even a week wasn't enough time but we did our best to see everything!

  13. Oh my ... I'm an Oreo snob too, but I may have to try these, even though I am dieting and have lost a whopping five pounds. One cookie perhaps, my reward.
