Random Photo Friday

Hello, my friends. Welcome to Friday! I hope your week was filled with everything you hold dear. Our past week was filled with family, friends, food, snow, and fun. Just the way we like it.

We celebrated that furry little guy who promised us six more weeks of snow and cold.
Translation: Six more weeks of cozy throws and cups of tea.

Marian came to spend the weekend with us!

Can I tell you how happy that makes all of us?
Who would have thought...The new friend I met the very first moment of college over thirty years ago would become my very best friend, loving not only me, but my entire family?
We are all blessed that Marian considers us family.
We are thankful she is here for all the important and most mundane moments of our lives.
We love that she loves to watch late night movies...even the really bad ones.
We love that she plays endless games of Sneaky Squirrel.
We love that she brings all the ingredients to make amazing ribs for Super Bowl.
And I love that I am slowly converting her to a coffee lover.
Slowly. : )
Love you, Mar!

Super Bowl was great!
We watched with my sister Margie and her husband Chris, my mom, and our friend Mary.
We ate super good food.
And we watched a super good game.
And that is the end of football.
Until August. : )

My breakfast the morning after Super Bowl.

We had snow.
A lot of it.
That groundhog wasn't messing around, was he?

This little lady was long overdue for a trip to the spa.
(Which is actually the groomer, but I don't tell her that.)

Much better. : )

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends.
Enjoy it with your people.
And thanks for visiting.
I am so very thankful that you do.

  1. Your snow photos are so pretty -- even though I'm at the "I dislike snow intensely" stage! We have more predicted in Nebraska for the weekend!

Hope you have a wonderful and cozy weekend!

    1. Thanks! But Peyton didn’t make these ones. Our local bakery did. And they are amazing!

  3. The groundhog cupcake is adorable! I love that. You did get a lot of snow. I used to live in a much snowier place and I often find myself missing it. I hope you have a good weekend, Billie Jo.

  7. Hi Billie Jo~

There is nothing like a true-blue, best friend! You are a very lucky girl!

I thought that 6 weeks would give Mother Nature to find Idaho, but she is still lost - no snow. In fact, the gold course is opened and guess where my husband is today?! This is the soonest it has EVER opened. By the way, the cupcake looked delicious!

The big game was a good one! And like you, no more football until August!

    My signature perfume is also a Philosophy scent . . . Live Joyously . . . I love it!

    Have a very blessed week-end!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

  11. What a wonderful cozy time you all had!! And can just say how glad I am that Mr. Groundhog is staying in your neck of the country. Don't tell him but with the way the weather is cooperating, I think we are headed into spring. Although that might come back to bite me in March. I'm so happy your dear friend came for a visit, it's always fun to add to the memories.
Take care and stay warm this weekend!

  13. Hello Dearest and happy weekend to you! ;) It was one of those weeks, but I'm loving catching up on all of your recent posts today. The one about your Mom made me cry. Life is a beautiful circle isn't it? With our precious Lord at the center making us aware of the blessings all around us.

Love that cupcake! Even though that little bugger is slapping us with more winter. Lol! I will embrace it like you dear Friend and focus on the wonderful cozy time instead of dreaming on flowers and sunshine just yet. xoxo

  14. There is nothing better in the world than a life-long friend that "gets you"--one where you don't have to say a word and she knows by the look in your eyes what you are feeling. I am glad she is a big part of your family, too.

I would like to throttle that groundhog myself. lol...make him INTO a cake/or pie. lol

Hope you have a blessed, wonderful weekend. xo Diana

  15. Such a pretty snow up your way. We've just had rain, but we need it so I can't complain. It's so nice your friend can be a part of all the important events in your family. You are a lucky gal I agree it was a great game on Sunday. One of the better ones I can recall. Enjoy your weekend with your family. ♥

  17. Your cupcake had me smiling before I read anything else! So glad you had a great week. We didn't watch the Super Bowl since we didn't have coverage here, but I understand that the winning team had a great Christian witness. So glad! Praise to God! Sorry if they weren't your team.
I'm so glad you had time with your friend. Just about everything I plan with friends lately is getting cancelled, because they're getting sick. Everyone knows I have to be extra careful, so we just agree to get together later. Oh well, it gives me someone to pray for and something to look forward to!

  19. Another great post you have here. I haven't commented lately but I sure do read all your posts and marvel over your great photos. I've started reading Madison's blog as well and thoroughly enjoy it. She is one special young lady; you are certainly proud of all your children as you should be. Thanks so much for keeping this great blog going.

  21. HAHA...I love the cupcake! That is awesome. Yes, I don't think that little critter was kidding about the 6 more weeks of winter. Today it is cool, wet and raining in Nashville TN. I can't seem to get warm at all. Love the snow pics.

  22. You should see me smiling, Billie Jo, the cupcake I would love to just pick it up and devour it.~wink~ I truly believe that friends are one of God's greatest gifts to us! Such a lovely photo of you ladies, we enjoyed the Super Bowl too!
Our little Jack is long over due for the groomers too, I dare not show a photo of him, If I mention a bath he runs and hides.
I am looking forward to spring to come and stay, our weather is so up and down for now, it has been raining off and on for days with more to come. Thanks for sharing your week, I always leave with such a warm feeling.
    Blessings,
    Sue
