New Year's 2018

Happy New Year, my friends! We rang in the new year together, just the five of us, with food, games, and of course...New Year's Rockin' Eve. It was quiet and cozy and lots of fun. Here are a few pictures of our wild and crazy New Year's Eve...

We enjoyed Happy New Year messages and video chats with these two as they celebrated with Nicolas' parents, delicious food, and fireworks!

Back here at home we awaited midnight with some 2017 Trivia and chocolate peanut butter cake.
We all made it to midnight, and the teens...even longer!
New Year's Day began with a few small gifts from Mom and Dad.
Because, you know, Santa brought all the good stuff last week. : )

The rest of the day involved relaxing, eating, and enjoying our traditional Twilight Zone Marathon.

And that's a wrap on The Holiday Season of 2017.
I hope you all enjoyed it with your people in the way you dreamed.
Looking forward to sharing 2018 with you here.

Happy and Blessed New Year, my friends.

  2. I guess it's okay to comment twice in one visit. Billie Jo, I went and checked your previous posts especially the twelve days of Christmas, your #10 post of "what if" was such a great read, You have such a wonderful gift of writing your thoughts,. I am truly blessed every time I visit.
I also enjoyed your Christmas posts, you can tell there is a lot of love in your home, reminds me of a song that Perry Como sang, 'Love in a Home". What a wonderful heritage you are giving your family.
    Thank you for your friendship,

Wishing you much continued blessings in the New Year!
    Sue

  3. What a wonderful New Year celebration! We definitely did not make it to midnight! But that's okay! I love playing trivia, so playing a "look back at the year" trivia seems like a really cool idea. I may borrow that for next year!

  9. You know...I just want to move right in, smiles. We didn't do anything like you...I didn't set the table pretty, or handed out more gifts (smiles). We played UNO until midnight, ate Ham/leftovers. Thank you for the many smiles, Billie Jo.

  18. Well the only thing we had in common was the Twilight Zone marathon haha! We were in bed by 10! In years past we've gone out with friends or had friends in, etc. but it was SO cold this year and I have a broken ankle so we opted for being "old people" this year haha!
