What is this dark, blurry picture I have posted today? Well, that would be the picture of a thrilled teenage girl! Last November, yes, November, Flynn received some tickets to see one of her favorite bands in concert. While Steve or I, to a lesser extent, are usually on board to accompany her on these excursions, we opted to sit this one out. I did because I had never heard of My Chemical Romance. Steve, because he had. Lucky for us, Peyton's husband Christopher is a fan! And so a plan was hatched.
Last weekend, Steve and FLynn drove to Philly to meet Peyton and Christopher. Christopher took Flynn to the concert, and Steve took his secondborn to dinner. The result was a great time had by all. The next morning, they all went to breakfast and shopping before going their separate ways. Shoutout to Peyton and Chris for making Flynn's entire summer with that weekend! And to Madison and Nicolas for watching her pup overnight!
What was I doing while all this fun was being had? Well, it involves DoorDash, binge-watching true crime, and this.
Add Madison and Nicolas bringing me breakfast and coffee, and I was happy as can be.
And, in other news...
Lots of excitement in your post today Billie Jo. So happy that Flynn was able to go to the concert and that she had a great guy to join her. I've not heard of this group but I am sure that it was a great show. Big congratulations on finding your new home (with a pool). In no time at all, you will have those boxes unpacked and I can already smell the pumpkin candles that you will have burning.. Can't wait to see photos of the new place. So happy for you all...
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Happy Moving, dear friend!! Can't wait to see pictures of the new place! Be careful, don't lift things that are too heavy for you, and try not to have the feeling of needing to get everything settled in one swoop. *lol* Re: concerts....my son & I were big concert goers. They usually occurred in Chicago & we'd take the train in. Some of the best memories of my life were from all those concerts we attended. I'm so glad your daughter had the chance to go and have a great time! Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Flynn had fun. I never heard of the group so will look them up. Happy moving! Are you moving from the lake house or the beach house? Can't wait to see pictures of your new place and all the fall decorations!
ReplyDeleteYes! I should have clarified that! We are moving from the beach house to one very near. Thanks for reminding me!
DeleteCongratulations on the new house. That is so awesome that Flynn got to go to the concert and everything worked out well for everyone.
ReplyDeleteHow great for Flynn to have older siblings who enjoy hanging out with her. I'm also the youngest of 4 so I know just how special those moments are, although for me it didn't happen to often. Congrats and best of luck with the new home.
ReplyDeleteYou have such great kids! Love that they did this.
ReplyDeleteAnd this move is exciting but I know it's a lot of work. Hope it all goes well.
How fun for your daughter! Congratulations on your new house! All the food photos look delicious!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the move! May it be an easy one!
ReplyDeleteHa! I just moved and told my husband my next move is a nursing home. I find the experience very stressful. Once every 25 years. You must be very good at it to not stress out. From the beach house-is that a condo- to a house with a pool. Divine!
ReplyDeleteLisa in Maine
Congrats on the new place with a pool! Yay! I just want to say I love love love that Flynn has such a good relationship with her brother-in-law. That's how my son-in-laws are too, one has been teaching Cam how to drive, and they are really like brothers to my girls. Your family is so special, give yourself a big pat on the back. And like another commenter mentioned, don't overdo it! But, take lots of pictures for us:)
ReplyDeleteMoving is so much work! But setting up a new place will be fun. Take care not to over do.
ReplyDeleteYou are looking so good, and everyone is looking so happy! Your sunset photo is gorgeous! I am so interested in why you are moving, could you tell us? And I wait to see your new home, both inside and out. I have never heard of My Chemical Romance!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, the last post asking why you are moving is me, Ginny.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! And good luck with the move - I hope everything goes smoothly. I can't wait to see your new place all decorated for autumn. Xx
ReplyDeleteP.S. Flynn has great taste in music :)
How exciting to be moving!! I will look forward to seeing that new pool and the great spaces for walking the furbabies!! Do tell us all about everything when you can!! xo
ReplyDeleteI had to pop back and in tell you I just finished reading 'What She Left Behind'. It was sooo good! Thank you for that recommendation.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that for Flynn! I am a little bit familiar with that group and I bet it was a great concert! I love how your family is so very close and you all share in so much fun together. And how exciting for a new move!! I have no doubt it will also be filled with lots of love and adorable decorating. 😊💗 Blessings on the move and the rest of your week dear Billie Jo. xoxo
ReplyDeleteAlways something fun going on in your neck of the woods!! Enjoy...even with the packing:)
ReplyDeleteDoor Dash, chilling and crime shows....yep... the best thing. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting and fun! Hope you enjoy that pool!
ReplyDeleteGrace & Peace,
Pam
That sounds like a wonderful night had by all! Congrats on the move.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear all about your move, smiles. Wishing you a beautiful day, Billie Jo.
ReplyDeleteHoping the move goes well!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fun filled weekend for everyone. How exciting about your new house and a pool too! Lucky and blessed girl!
ReplyDeleteI'm still having blogger issues. It's not letting me post anything at all. I have sent a message to the developer so we shall see what happens. Meanwhile, I'll try to continue posting on everyone's blogs.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Hi Billie Jo. I think you and your family move as much as Charly and I do! It's always fun to have a fresh start in a new place! I hope all goes well. You will really enjoy having a pool. We had one in Arizona, and there are hot summer days, when I do miss relaxing in the pool. I have started packing up my books for our upcoming move when I retire. I hope you have a good weekend. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteBillie Jo, congratulations on your new home and pool! David and I have loved living in our apartment and so close to the pool. Sometimes we just take a walk and stick our feet in for 30 minutes or so and sit and talk. It's very relaxing. Our granddaughters are enjoying it too :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your move coming! And have a great weekend Billie Jo
ReplyDeleteYou're moving?! I haven't moved in 24 years. Just the thought of it gives me shivers. Sounds like you've got it all under control though! Can't wait to read about your adventures in the new place. And with a pool? You must be SO excited!
ReplyDeleteThat is great that Nick and Flynn were able to go together. Yay on the move.. a pool sounds pretty good. Looking forward to see pictures with all your fall decorations up.
ReplyDeleteGetting ready for my 34th move...from Florida back to Indiana...just shipping and taking in car...daughter will fly down and drive back with me. You are like me...just do the moving...enjoy your new home. Not sure which one you are leaving...but you will keep us posted. Prayers
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new home and new decoration!
ReplyDeleteI'm so woefully out of touch with today's music but it sounds like Door dash and crime dramas would suit me better as well.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your move. It sounds like a lovely place. I can't believe that it's nearly fall and ready to decorate.
Oh friend...lake house, beach house, house-house, I can't imagine keeping them all organized, tidy, and decorated...I can't keep up with this one old house! But a pool will be so delightful on those hot summer days, and since you've purged already, it'll be a breeze. Congrats and keep us posted! Oh, and the happy smiles...always so, so sweet to see!
