Christmas Tree Love

I don't know about you, but the older I get, the more I find comfort in sitting and gazing at our Christmas tree. First thing in the morning, I plug in the tree and enjoy my coffee in its light. Our artificial tree lightens the dark winter days from late November through early January.

I will be right here this weekend, my friends. I plan on relaxing with cups of coffee, the fireplace, and our Christmas tree lights. We have but one more week of anticipation, and I hope to enjoy it with the things that bring me joy and peace. How about you? What brings you joy this Christmas season? I'd love to hear!

Thanks for visiting!

Billie Jo

  2. I just love your cozy Christmas tree and your Nativity set. I just love Christmas so very much. Christmas is such a cozy time of year. I enjoy keeping it quite simple and like to reflect on the blessing that God gave to us through the gift of His son Jesus. Christmas is and will always be my favorite holiday. Hugs to you dear friend, and a very Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family. ~Juli

  3. Your tree is very beautiful as is the Nativity set. Today I'm cleaning the basement in case we have company over the Christmas break but I really hope to get a chance sometime in the coming days to drive around and just look at all the Christmas light displays in the various neighborhoods around here. Hope you have a wonderful weekend enjoying that tree (and your coffee!)

  4. Like all of the other comments, your tree is lovely as well as the Nativity! What a great spot in front of your lovely windows! Sitting by the Christmas tree with my hot tea is always special. Curled up with a favorite book and carols playing bring me joy. Happy weekend, my friend.

  5. Your weekend plans sound just perfect to me! I love your tree and the Nativity set. I also love to sit a look at my tree and all the pretty lights - it's so calming and peaceful. Being in the kitchen and baking Christmas cookies is bringing me joy right now and, of course, spending time with my family. I thought about having a cup of coffee this afternoon, but I think I'm going to have a cup of hot tea instead. Hope you have a cozy weekend!

  6. Love your tree and your Nativity! I have a small one and it gets dwarfed by our artificial tree. I love this time of year: the music, the lights, people are friendlier and kinder... it truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

  9. Your tree is beautiful :) And your plans sound perfect. I will be hanging around the house today, trying desperately to cure this cold that has been with me for a week now. I plan on reading more of your book today. I'm trying to savor it and not finish it all in one sitting. Have a wonderful weekend!

  10. What is bringing me joy is seeing my grandchildren, and sitting in the morning sipping my coffee, reading my Bible with my little Christmas tree lit up.

  11. That looks so beautiful. I must admit, I always put our tree up too early, just because I like looking at the twinkly lights. One of my favorite things about this time of year is in the afternoon when it's starting to get dark, feeling the tree light up the room, drawing the curtains, lighting some candles, and feeling cozy.

  15. Your tree is beautiful! We turn our tree on each morning and just leave it on all day....it makes us smile when we come into the room (even if the sun rather drowns out the lights....because I will never complain about sun streaming in the windows!!) Have a wonderful week!

  16. It's such a joy seeing everyone's Christmas trees. I've always had a real tree, but I heard that the artificial ones are easy to put up, easy to take down, and the older I get, that sounds nice to me. Your ornaments are so whimsical, I really like them. And Cindy Lou is so sweet. All the red touches makes your tree beautiful. Jess has touches of red on her tree too. And your nativity set is dear.

It all looks magical, Billie Jo.
