Our little homeschool opened its (dining room) doors yesterday to one happy fifth grade student. Flynn is my remaining homeschool student and we had a great day together! We worked through our first day and then had her special meal of meatball subs and curly fries. Madison and Nicolas came over with beautiful flowers and we enjoyed a special treat of Sprinkles Cupcakes, which I highly recommend!
The years pass quickly. This little one who once wore apple dresses and big ABC bows to school is now happy in jean shorts, a t-shirt, and a hoodie. It is easy to lament the passage of time, isn't it? But I try to embrace it as much as I can. Motherhood is a blessing and I strive to appreciate each and every stage.
Happy and Healthy School Year, my friends.
It is hard to believe she is in the 5th grade but as you said, they grow up too fast. Enjoy school this year.ReplyDelete

Oh, that's wonderful that you are homeschooling Flynn this year. Those cupcakes look amazing. There's nothing like a soft and Yummy cupcake. I love your candle and the homeschool sign and the apples! Apples remind me of Fall, so I smiled at your garland right away. ; )ReplyDelete
