Because I Want To Remember

Someday, I will sit on my front porch with my coffee and my knitting...ok...maybe not the knitting...stare out at the beautiful view, and think back to the summers when my children were young. I hope I will remember the beauty of these days that include laughter, jump rope, late morning walks, and after dinner ice cream cones. But just in case I don't...

Happy Happy Happy times...
Tucking them into my soul...

Because someday they will be sweet memories. : )

  1. What happy shoes on a happy girl.
Yes, take photos, document these sweet times.
In the future, you'll be so glad you did.

  2. Ohhhhh, way before you realize it... They will be memories. :-)

So keep right on, noticing them now. And tucking photos of them away, here on your blog.

And especially, keep noticing them. Enjoying them. In the present.

The years keep flowing on. If we are lucky! :-) And so many things, are memories. And that's ok. Because we can relive them.

But not too much of that, either. Because it seems best, to keep right on, paying attention to our NOW. And thus, do all we can, to keep our 'nows,' being enjoyable.

Oh mercy! I do "run with" a topic, don't I?!?!?!?!

    Gentle hugs,
    Luna Crone

  3. Hi Billie Jo~

Oh my goodness, brought a few tears to this grandma's eyes. Times were so different when I was a young mother, we didn't have computers to capture those precious moments for . . . forever. My mother, who has dementia, can remember when I was a child, and that was a long time ago! Do you think that is God's gift to the elderly, that they can't remember what happened yesterday, but all those childhood memories, memories of their children are still intact? I think so.

Loved all those sweet photos of Flynn, she is such a cutie! Thank you for sharing.

    Hugs,
    Barb

  7. How funny you should talk about now/then/memories. I found a box of CD's that I had downloaded pictures onto from 10-12 years ago. I started looking at them last night and cried happy tears for hours. Keep those memories safe and you will get to do the same thing one of these days. There used to be, and may still be, I dont know, an old soap opera called, "Days of Our Lives".....well, we are living them my sweet friend.

  10. Goodness! It does go so quickly. I hate that part. And I cannot imagine living away from children without the modern conveniences of FaceTime or cell phones let alone digital photography. Love her new and bright shoes!

  14. So precious and sweet are these memories you're making!!

As the saying goes "The days are long but the years are short", rings true time and time again, especially the years are short part! :(

I always wanted to be a wife and mother and I'm so very thankful I've been given the opportunity to be one!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

P.S. Flynn has some serious Skip It skills!! Those Skip It's are too fun!! :)
