A Peek Inside...Our Schoolroom 2017

It is that time of year again! Time to dust and sweep and prepare our little schoolroom for a brand new year. We began with four, and now we are down to two students in our little academy. But it is bright and cozy just the same. Rhett is a sophomore, and Flynn is in second grade, and I imagine Peyton will be spending some time in here too. Maybe as a substitute teacher or aide? : )

Prayers for a happy, healthy school year for you all!
Thanks for visiting!

  1. Oh back to school is just my favorite time of year! The Day the Crayons Quit is a favorite at this house and we ordered The Day the Crayons Came Home from the first book order of the year. A certain 5-year-old is a tad impatient waiting for it. I love your school room!!

  3. You have a marvelous set-up!!!! Simply marvelous!

Your children are very lucky, to have a Mom, who is so committed to Home Schooling!

I know there are many reasons, for a Mother to choose home schooling. Wondering what your reasons were/are? And you can reply in e-mail, if you don't want to state them, here. Understood.

    Hooray for you!!!!!!!

    Gentle hugs,

  4. Hi Billie Jo~

I know I'vee said it before, but I just love your little classroom! I can't think of a better teacher for children, than their mothers. If I had it to do all over again, I would have home-schooled my children, at least my last child.

I had a wonderful conversation with a young woman just yesterday about home-schooling. She was from, Missouri, and had lived on a 200 acre farm with her family and many cousins. They were all home-schooled, and she loved it!! What a great way to instill your own values and beliefs into your children's lives! You are truly an inspiration for so many moms! Thank you for sharing your wonderful little classroom with us!!

    Hugs,
    Barb

  5. I respect and applaud you for home-schooling your children. You have installed things they could never get in a regular (what is regular???) school. You are so organized and your classroom is neat and looks to have everything needed. Happy new school year!

  10. What a wonderful environment to learn in. I am curious however as to how you manage two totally different curriculums given the age differences.
