First Day Of School 2016

Our first day of homeschool 2016 was a success! We were back in our little schoolroom and working right away. Here are a few pictures of our day.

My First grader was the first one up and ready...

And was excited to take a few pictures with her teacher...

And with the Superintendent of schools. : )

We had pumpkin chocolate chip muffins for breakfast...

And then posed for the annual First Day of School picture.
My students this year...
Flynn-First Grade,
Rhett- Ninth Grade,
And Peyton- Eleventh and Twelfth Grades
Yes. That's right.
My Peyton is graduating this year, as a Junior!
So proud of her hard work and determination. : )

My youngest student brought me a gift.
She got it out of the refrigerator all by herself.
And washed it too. : )

I also received these beautiful flowers from my sweet, thoughtful, home and school and family loving friend Tara. (Who is so humble she probably didn't want me to put her name here.)

My baby. Because. Well. She's my baby.

Then we finished our first day back with an after lunch stroll.
But not before my girl exclaimed, "I LOVE First Grade!"

Tomorrow we do it all again.
Minus all the pictures. : )

Have a wonderful rest of the week, my friends!

  3. Sometimes the second day seems so much easier because no pictures! Right? I'm so proud of you friend. I remember a post a long time ago when you first told us all that you were making the decision to home school. And you started converting your dining room into a school room. I thought (and still do) how brave she is. I was in awe at how you made a decision that completely changed daily life because it was the best for your family. I remember that often when I have to make a decision that isn't the 'regular' way but is the best for my little family. I love how your schoolroom and your home school has evolved over the past 4 years. It's a joy to watch.
PS... picture with the superintendent, awesome!
PPS... yes, for cryin out loud, take my name down...

  22. You are cracking me up...photo with the "super intendant of schools" lol so funny. those photos are so sweet-the one of Flynn and stroller caught me off guard and I felt a thump in my throat remembering my Bella pushing her babies around in her little pink stroller. They grow up way to fast.
