November First

Good morning! And Happy November! Halloween has come and gone for yet another year, but we wake today filled with happy memories and a few too many fun-size candy bars. It was a great day that began at Dunkin with coffee and my Madison, followed by the best visit ever with my beautiful mom, who is doing wonderfully and being cared for lovingly, and ending with a rainy, foggy, spooky night of Trick-or-Treating with our Flynn. We also baked cupcakes, drank coffee, and watched a Halloween movie.

Goodbye for now, Halloween fun! See you next October August!

Billie Jo

  1. Halloween not my thing…when we owned the Hallmark store, I refused to sell certain items…pumpkins fine…have you started writing your second book? Your first one so great…perhaps concentrate on some of the items you blog about…good luck
I am getting ready to edit a book again, written with me as editor…she died suddenly this summer, so her husband will get it ready for publication…Nancy Jill Thames who wrote the series about Teddy, the Yorkie that I worked with her on…I am rambling…you might like her books…I was in on the last few…

  3. It looks like you had a wonderful time...yay! I do love all the best parts of Halloween and October. Now I start to get a little anxious...where did the time go? what's on the to-do list? But stopping by here gives me a chance to just stop, read something terrific, and say to my brain, "shhh" as I try not to miss the moment I'm in. Thank you! Mary

  5. Hi Billie Jo. Glad you all had a nice Halloween. It was just another day here. I did get a text picture of some of my grands ready to go out trick-or-treating so that was fun. Now it's November, we're expecting snow this week, and it's almost time to starting thinking Christmas! See you again soon!

  6. So fun!! I love all the pictures! Your mom looks so happy. I love your haircut, too! I have an appointment next week and I am going a little shorter - very similar to yours. My hair has grown out so fast since my last appointment. Glad you had a happy Halloween!

  9. Flynn must have had such a fun time this Halloween. She really made out with the candy. What a sweet picture of you and Madison. I love that orange spider scarf. And a wonderful visit with your mom. I'm glad she is doing well. Oh, and I noticed your black and white jacket, LOVE that. I need something like that in the mountains, it's getting so cold. : )

  10. I think our pumpkins will be headed for the compost heap this weekend. It seems to have gone by so quickly this year. X
