Friends, Fun, Food, And Sun

And naps. Lots of naps. We returned from our family time spent together aboard our favorite cruise ship ever, The Carnival Pride, rested and full of memories to last a lifetime. The amazing thing about cruising is that you are all together for an entire week with nothing to do but spend quality together. And of course, make new friends.

Here are way too many photos of the week we spent cruising together...

On our way...

And there she is!

We spent our mornings eating Brunch and special breakfasts...

Afternoons found us in the game room playing Shuffleboard, Foosball and Scrabble, while drinking special Strawberry Daiquiris made just for little ladies, and amazing Mocha Lattes made just for Mommy...

After lunch and naps, we dressed for dinner.
I am seriously considering implementing this into our daily schedule.
Ok. Maybe not. But it was really nice.
We ate dinner in the main dining room every night.
And it was wonderful!
We ate delicious food, enjoyed amazing entertainment, and made wonderful new friends...

We had beautiful weather...

But best of all, we were able to spend time with our dear family friend Alan.
Alan was the head waiter on our last cruise, and we knew the minute we met him he would become part of our family and a forever friend.
We are so blessed to know him as well as his beautiful wife and children back in the Philippines.

We spent one day at the beautiful resort of Atlantis in the Bahamas, and were thrilled Alan was able to join us! We all enjoyed the slides and the Rapid River. I even jumped out of my comfort zone and beach chair and went down the slides too!
There is no photographic evidence to prove it, but trust me...it happened. : )

It was an amazing week, filled with sooo many happy moments.
If you have ever considered taking a cruise, I encourage you to look into it.
We love the time we spend together, and have made so many amazing memories.
We eat together every night, we visit in each other's cabins, we laugh at the comedy shows, and order grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches from room service just because.
In addition, we met someone very special who we otherwise would never have had the pleasure of knowing.
And now, we are full of happy memories to carry with us in our very happy hearts.

Oh. And look who was waiting for me to snuggle as soon as we got home...

Thanks for visiting, my friends!

    1. Heather,
      You must try it!
      It is a Mocha Frappe!
I ordered so many, the sweet lady told me how to make them.
You can get the Ghirardelli Mocha Frappe Mix on Amazon.
      Just add ice and water!

  20. The best vacation we ever had was a few yrs back and 14 of our family members cruised with us. Oh, my....it was soooo much fun
Then, our kids and grands gave Mr. Sweet and I a cruise to Alaska for our 50th anniversary...he loved every minute of it and it was #1 on his Bucket List...he had always wanted to go. I am a sea, sun and sand girl so I loved our trip to warmer lands...
