My Dad and Mom today
The day we began Hospice Care for him
He was surrounded by the love of his life...my beautiful Mother
And the testament of that love...his five daughters
On this day, Dementia did not win
Dad was there with us
He smiled and laughed and joked
He knew we were there
He knew he was loved
He held our hands and
He knew
We don't know when God will call him home
But I will remember this day forever
I will be thankful for this day forever
The day we filled that room with love
The love of a lifetime
And he knew.
What a sweet, loving post. God bless.
