Things I Like And Things I Don't

I Like

  • Dipping McDonald's fries in Chick-fil-A sauce
  • Freshly sharpened pencils on my desk
  • Raspberries and blackberries in the fridge
  • Setting up a new month in my planner
  • Looking up people from old game shows to see how their lives turned out
  • Watching old game shows like Card Sharks and Match Game 76

  • A big bowl of white rice with butter, salt, and pepper
  • Waking up every day knowing I will soon have hot coffee with vanilla creamer
  • Showering and putting on fresh pajamas after swimming
  • Snoopy ambience videos on YouTube

But, I Don't Like

  • Mint mixed with any other flavor
  • Piles of unsorted dirty laundry
  • Walking, driving, or being outside for any length of time, January through March
  • Drinking warm tap water that has been sitting in a glass for too long
  • The person who decided crop tops are the one thing every woman wants to wear
  • Washing my hair after I go to the salon because it won't ever look this good again
  • Trends that everyone jumps on just because they are the "In" thing, ex Protein
  • The dreaded "drop-in" because I need time to prepare for socializing

How about you, my friends?

Happy Wednesday!

Billie Jo

  1. Gosto do café ao levantar, sentir o cheiro do café sendo coado pela manhã, e também não gosto de surpresa para encontros, perfeito!

  2. I like old game shows too, but never thought to look those people up.
I have raspberries and blueberries in my fridge most of the time. I love them with cottage cheese.
Mint! I love it, and unlike you I like it with most anything.
I'm also good with drop in visitors. They can't expect much if they just drop in. However I don't want them dropping in if I'm already in my PJ's! :)

  3. I’m right there with you on so many! Drop ins stress me out, as do people who text and tell me they’re just going to swing by - that counts as a drop in to me = stress! I would probably also add people who don’t take our grandmother’s advice - Just because you think it, doesn’t mean you need to say it. On a plus side, I love the smell of lilacs and hyacinths, and a pink drink from Starbucks with strawberry sweet cream, cold foam. Cozy up my friend - it has been the best winter ever for that!

  4. I will hone in on The Dreaded Drop In. My late mother-in-law was good at this, but I can't decide which I hated more, when she gave me like a ten minute notice, and had me panic cleaning, or dropped in unexpectedly...of course she NEVER did that when I had just got things all clean and tidy, no it was always when it was hurricane-ish. :).

  5. Oh my goodness - I can barely barely tolerate mint chocolate anything. Has to be dark chocolate. Otherwise its like chocolate coated toothpaste! I don't like chickpeas, I don't care how much protein they have. And coffee with creamer is the FIRST thing on my mind each day - the first sip is like magic.

  6. Oh yes Billie Jo... freshly sharpened pencils are a must.. one of the things that I am particular about. lol. And those crop tops...please let them go away!!!! I've been looking for long tops to wear with leggings for my upcoming trip, and have little to no luck. ARGH. Same here with the washing the hair thing. Why? Why can't I get my hair to behave the way my hair stylist does? Good post and I so agree.

  9. I agree with you on most of these points. Drop ins can be a good or bad thing

  10. Why are most tops cropped now? Why? What percentage of women look good in this? It's got to be small and under 25 for the most part unless you are a model. Also why protein in everything now? I went to Target yesterday and they have protein popcorn? I guess I never thought of popcorn as more than anything but a mindless snack while watching a movie or tv. Let's keep some snacks sacred, shall we? And my MIL was a notorious pop-in-er. She wouldn't even knock, so I changed the locks! God bless doorbell cameras. Keep preaching, BillieJo!

  12. We share several likes and dislikes, but I love mint (mint chocolate, peppermint mochas, mint ice cream, Junior Mints and more). I'm with you on the crop tops and why are women wearing them with those low rider leggings. Just ewww! Happy Wednesday, Billie Jo!

  13. Oh my gosh, the Snoopy show with the hearts and red roses? My heart just melted hehehe. I love white rice with butter and salt and pepper too, my friend! I'm with you on the drop-ins, but my brother-in-law gave me short notice yesterday saying he was coming in, but I guess I didn't mind cause he's family. And crop tops - I think I only wore them when I was 16-18. ; ) Enjoy your hot coffee with creamer, Billie Jo. Thanks for the fun post! Have I told you lately you are wonderful?
