I Have And I Haven't ~ Christmas Edition

Well, we have two weeks until the big day! Let's see how I am doing, shall we?

I have...

1. Finished all my shopping.

(And, I looked just like this while I was doing it, too. )

But, I haven't...
Wrapped hardly anything at all.

(That is Steve's department. )

I have...

2. Baked a batch of cupcakes from a box mix.

But I haven't...
Baked a single cookie.

( Peyton will save the day with her amazing cookies! )

I have...

3. Watched some favorite Christmas movies.

But I haven't...

Watched any of my favorites. Yet.

I have...

4. Swiffered the floors and wiped a few mirrors.

But I haven't...
Deep-cleaned the areas I planned to clean before Christmas.

And finally, I haven't hosted a Christmas cookie exchange, attended a single Christmas party, planned my Christmas Day menu, thought about what I will wear to Christmas Eve mass, or done any grocery shopping.

But I have done a lot of this...

And this...

And this...

I hope you are enjoying your Christmas season in your favorite way.

Have a cozy Wednesday, my friends.

  4. I enjoyed your have and have not list, Billie Jo. I have placed the pie and dinner roll order at Yoder's. I have not baked (and won't). I have wrapped and packaged all the gifts the needed to be mailed and mailed them off on the 5th. I have not wrapped the local gifts or my husband's stocking stuffers. I have watched Home Alone and Home Alone 2. I have not watched Rudolph or Frosty. I have written the Christmas cards and mailed them. I have not decorated yet. Enjoy your Wednesday!

  5. We all have our own way of enjoying the season. Right now I am trying to find the balance between socializing and being at home. I love both but I think I had rather be home more than being out.

  6. Everyone needs to do a lot more of what you are doing the most! My shopping and wrapping is all done! Except for wrapping two presents!

  7. I love this and those pics at the end - I wanted to jump in EVERY SINGLE ONE! I have been good about Christmas shopping and wrapping...but only because I host all the events so I need things to be done! Lol I have watched Rudolph, the Grinch, and I actually watched The Little Drummer Boy this year. Haven't watched that one in ages! Boy did it bring back memories of old days. We're watching Christmas Vacation tonight with Annie as she's never watched in it full. Like what?? How are you my kid? Lol Blessings to you and continue to enjoy the cozy. I'm going to do more of that now. xoxo

  8. Sounds perfect! My shopping and wrapping is done. Well, I will look through my notebook one more time, just to be sure. ;) I'll bake some gingerbread tomorrow and make up a batch or two of royal icing. On Saturday we'll go to my family's annual cookie baking day. I will be sure to bring home lots of goodies.

So far I've watched Christmas Vacation and Elf. I've been listening to lots of Christmas music.

  9. You crack me up. If I lived close, I would do cookie baking for you. Or should I say kookie baking?

  10. I have not finished shopping (one kid needs a little bit more and my dad but I am close!), mailed my cards yet, set up the Christmas tree, baked anything at all.

I have figured out what everyone will wear for Christmas programs and, therefore, Christmas Mass. And most importantly, I have peace that everything will happen in its own time, or I will just let it go. Perspective!!

  11. I love all those festive images.
Preparations are minimal here, this year, and thankfully I've managed to get most of my shopping. Just a few more items to buy and wrap. Xx

  17. I like the list of things that you have done...especially these last few pictures. Just sitting around and enjoying the season is so GOOD. I think I am done. Everything purchased and everything wrapped. I only need to bake now. Enjoy every moment of what you have left to do Billie Jo..

  19. I love the retro pictures, especially the family watching tv. I haven't baked any cookies yet, either. I need to, but am not feeling motivated. I actually wondered if anyone would care if I bought them this year. I just watched Rudolph tonight. Other than that I've watched a lot of Hallmark movies, Four Christmases, Home Alone, The Grinch, The Santa Clause, and Deck the Halls. I'll save the biggies...A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, Elf, White Christmas, etc. for the week of Christmas.
