Happy Friday, my friends! Fridays are a good day to share some of the photos on my camera roll, so here they are!
This week, Rhett and his girlfriend Kyrstin took Flynn for a special birthday treat. Their gift to her was an awesome day of shopping, dinner, and a movie!
Here they are, my third and my fourth. One of the things I am most thankful for as a mother is the relationships my children have with each other. And if you are not surprised that Rhett chose to take Flynn to a movie, it may be because you remember these two like this...
Yes. Here they are, ten years ago, when Rhett took her to the movies. It seems like yesterday. The rest of my pictures seem to follow a trend.
Pups and blankets and cozy. What can I say? Real life right here. Well, Christmas is near. And even though we consciously try to relax and enjoy this beautiful time of year, we have certain things that need to be done.
We do these things each year because we hope to create beautiful Christmas moments and memories for our families, who we love so much. In honor of us, I thought we would have a Christmas giveaway! Simply leave a comment with your name below, and I will randomly draw five lucky winners who will each receive an Amazon gift certificate. The contest will be open until noon on Monday, December 16th. I will post the winners in a special Tuesday post on December 17th. Good luck, and have a cozy Christmas weekend!

Merry Christmas to all! I recently posted on Facebook a message that you often talk about- how perfection doesn’t have to be a part of our festive experience. Let the house be messy, the treats store bought, the decor minimal….and it was very well received. And you know what surprised me-the men loved that message too! So thanks for inspiring messages that are being paid forward for many others to benefit from too:)
ReplyDeleteLove all your family photos and the love y'all have for each other. Merry Christmas and blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading about all of your Holiday traditions. It truly is the "most wonderful time of the year" ! Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thank-you for the great give away.
ReplyDeleteLove that photo of Flynn and Rhett. How special that your children love to spend time with each other. I love that. Your pups are just the cutest babies ever. So sweet.

ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo~ New laptops!! You and Steve have been such a great influence to your kids. Over the years I have watched you instill such great family values in your children. It looks like the kids had a great time celebrating! Christmas is such a wonderful, busy time of year! I'm trying to slow it down so that I can enjoy the feeling, sights, sounds and tastes of this amazing Christmas season. Have a wonderful weekend, Billie Jo! Hugs, Barb
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome photo's on your camera roll. I wait patiently every year for this season and I'm thrilled to hear you are enjoying it too. Stay warm and cozy my friend.
ReplyDeleteLove how close all your children are! Love following your family and seeing all the things you get up to. Transition time for our family, one grown up and out of the house now and a high schooler left..changes Christmas traditions but trying to enjoy each moment as it comes. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is so thoughtful and generous of you! It gives us bloggers fun at Christmas!! Great photos, especially of Rhett & Flynn from when they were kids! Ginny.
ReplyDeleteLove those two pictures of Rhett and his sister! I have been seeing so many "flashback photos" lately, I have been feeling nostalgic. Thinking I should look for a few "older" photos. Thanks for putting together a giveaway - what fun! Reminds me of the early days of blogging. Such fun!!:)
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures of home and family! They are always cozy and heartwarming. Thank you for offering a fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThe ond dog looks a little skeptical! Reading your blog gives me a cozy feeling- your love for your family and life shines through!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! I love a sibling relationship like that. The picture from 10 years ago is cute!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the vintage pictures.
ReplyDeleteSo nice when siblings get along so well.
A Christmas baby.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and simple life you live my friend! You have done a great job teaching your children what is truly important in life. Happy Holidays to all of you ❤️🌲❤️🌲❤️
ReplyDeleteBTW ….that was me Jodi!!
ReplyDeleteI love how all your children enjoy a close loving relationship, and that photograph of Rhett and Flynn posing in front of the tree made me smile.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to reading all about your shared Christmas celebrations. Xx
Cute dogs, especially the black and white one that is giving the camera stink eye. Enjoy the kid's nice relationships while they last, later when the issue of inheritance assets like money and real estate come up, they will be fighting like cats and dogs.
ReplyDeleteLove the sibling relationship! My sisters are still my best friends. Cute vintage photos.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog but only seldom have commented. I love the pictures of your family and so appreciate your love for your mom—I lost mine in 2021. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteI have never posted a comment but, thought for this I would.

Your blog always puts me in a positive mood. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYou know Billie Jo, I still can't wrap my head around Ms. Flynn growing up, smiles. Wishing you a beautiful Saturday evening.
ReplyDeleteShopping, dinner, and a movie sounds fun to me! I love how they did the sprinkles in the chocolate! So cute! Glad y'all are continuing to bask in the warmth of the Christmas holidays!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely birthday present! Time together and memories made are so much better than more "stuff." Busy here, too. Shopping is done, but wrapping awaits....I drag my feet every year as it's my least favorite part of Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, thank you Billie Jo for keeping it real. I love your honest posts, honest pictures, no curating. You are so refreshing. Your blog is comforting! Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! Nothing better than harmonious sibling relationships. The photos of then and now are precious. The doggy photos are precious too. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteEven though some have gone we still have all the wonderful memories of this Holy Season. Have a Wonderful Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteIt was so heartwarming to see Rhett and Flynn when they were little. Love Flynn's long hair. They grow up so fast, don't they? But we have pictures like this to remember and look back on. What a fun day and a special gift this was for her.
