Christmas is two weeks away. Have we done these things so far this Christmas season?
1. Finished wrapping all the gifts with pretty ribbons and bows -
No. Not even close.
2. Planned our menu for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Sort of. Kind of. Maybe?
3. Watched the most fantastic Christmas movie ever made
Still waiting! Plans are in the works!
4. Consumed a bowl of this super good and full of chemicals and dyes Christmas treat -
Yep. Guilty as charged.
5. Watched this holiday classic -
No. This plays in our house on a loop on Christmas Day -
6. Enjoyed coffee in fancy Christmas cups -
You bet! With cookies, too!
7. And caught the mandatory December cold that we pass around like a box of candy -
Of course! Is it Christmas without it?
How about you, my friends? Is anything like this happening around your home this Christmas season?
Have a cozy December day!

Google for the fun!
I am not quite ready, but have to speed before the children arrive!!
ReplyDeleteSadly, no...no wait, I do have a Mrs. Claus mug, so ok, that. LOL.
ReplyDeleteAnything productive toward the holidays is a hard no. Goodie and coffee enjoyment, you bet.

ReplyDeleteYes, the Rudolph movie is a Christmas treasure. I love your list, LOL!😆
ReplyDeleteThat was fun! Presents are almost wrapped here, waiting for 2 to arrive. We watched Rudolph! Meal isn't planned yet, on the plus side - no colds!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, nope haven't wrapped a thing! But we will get there. Sorry about your cold!! We will be with family so I don't have to plan a meal thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteChristmas began changing in a number of ways when my children grew up, got married, and moved far away. Other changes came along, too, that have made the season uncomfortable at times. But it's getting better and I'm learning to adapt. Reading your cheery blog posts is a fun part of the season for me this year.
ReplyDeleteCute post. Christmas is not going as planned for me this year. So it's a "no" to all of those.
ReplyDeleteI can only say yes to number 7. My daughter is on day 3 of an antibiotic for bronchitis and we all passed around a cold before that. It's terrible this year for so many. I did wrap one gift today but I still have so much more to purchase, I'm crazy behind this year.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable post! I have the gifts all wrapped and the day planned! I have shingles plus another virus, both at the same time. Our family all has the sniffles. But on the plus side, it should all be over by Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteOh no.....I am guilty of not having any of these things done! This is a very cute post and I love how you put it together. I must get busy to catch up with you...
ReplyDeleteUgh to the mandatory Christmas cold! You had me smiling right along and - bam, got me with this dumb cold. Surely tomorrow will be the morning I wake up and it is gone!! Hope you are feeling 100 percent soon!!
ReplyDeleteNice to read your happy post.I have mailed out the cards but haven't decorated yet.
ReplyDeleteI adore the charming vintage photos! They inspire old fashioned homemaking. God bless!
ReplyDeleteYes to most. No Christmas Crunch here and since I don't drink coffee, I hope tea counts so it's a yes. I'm on the 7th day of antibiotics for a sinus infection and have had no voice for 11 days now. But I'm slowly getting better and I'm so very grateful that all gifts were bought and wrapped by early November and cards sent out the day after Thanksgiving. I put out minimal decor this year but I'm loving what I have out.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betst
So far, I've managed to catch the cold! :)
ReplyDeleteNot nearly as much as I want to but it is delightful seeing your list.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a cold or flu for about ten years now, and no flu shots either. I take vitamin C, D, B complex, Zinc, plus oregano oil capsules and three to four cloves raw chopped garlic every day. On the few occasions I feel a sore throat approaching, I add Echinacea and elderberry extract to that. I did catch the cursed Covid when the pandemic first started end of 2019. after a long haul flight from Dubai to Seattle. This was before the vaccines and Paxlovid and immunotherapy drugs, so I pretty much tripled the above and it was gone in two weeks without a visit to the hospital.
ReplyDeleteI haven't even started my shopping. We don't have a family date even set yet. With in - laws it's hard for us to plan for everyone a day that works... We have had ours AFTER Christmas day.
ReplyDeleteHa! Love it! Over here have about 3/4 of wrapping done. Watched Rudolph the other night for the first time in years! :) I think I have the holiday menu locked down for the most part. And we like to wait until closer to Christmas to watch Ralphie and his family too. Annie has the cold over here - praying hard not to get it! Lol Blessings. ❤️💚
ReplyDeleteOh how funny, we watch the classic A Christmas Story on Christmas day too, and we usually get Chinese food if they're open. You're right, Rudolph is a great Christmas movie. And I must get that Christmas Cap'n Crunch! Have not seen it yet at the store. I've managed to stay well this season. Always love these delightful posts, dear friend, and I'm just catching up on them.
