Checking Out My Photos

Good morning, my friends! Happy October weekend! I am enjoying this beautiful time more simply this year. My front porch is not yet decorated with cornstalks and pumpkins. I haven't made my traditional crockpot Pumpkin Spice Latte, and I haven't even gone on a leaf ride to see the colors in our little part of the world. You know what? That's ok.

If I do none of these things, October will still be here, offering the cool, cozy days and the same colorful leaves turning and falling and swirling in the wind. I can enjoy them from my porch, drink coffee with pumpkin creamer, hang my wreath on my front door, and call it a day. That is ok. I am choosing to show myself some grace. I am learning to let some traditions go in favor of new ones. And that is good.

In other news, have you ever scrolled through the camera roll on your phone and been amazed at the amount of stuff there? I have. And I am sharing just a few of the things I found. Some are pictures I can't believe I missed, and others are screenshots of things I wanted to remember. Clearly, I didn't! In any case, in no particular order, I give you the top seven pictures I recently found on my phone...

There you go, my friends! Because I know you were wondering about all this! Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for visiting. I am always glad you do!

  6. How sad that I see myself as the 2nd type of self care!
You are right about giving yourself some grace. It is perfectly ok to enjoy fall any way you choose to!

  7. Heavy breathing and Who's this? made me laugh. I'm nearly finished with Waymaker by Ann Voskamp. I am going to Oregon flock and fiber fest today with my daughter. It used to be closer to me but it's been moved to another location 30 minutes drive further. ๐Ÿš— I won't buy yarn as I have way too much right now. Enjoy your weekend.

  9. What fun! Gotta love those fun screen shots. I spent 6 hours a couple of weeks ago deleting doubles of pictures and organizing them. sigh. I didn't do as much this year for Fall as I usually do either...and that is OK. xo Diana

  10. I know what you mean about going through your phone and finding pictures you forgot you took! Thank you for sharing yours. I'm doing less and less each year too. I see my kids always on the go and I would often feel guilty. But I've come to realize we've already done all those things, taken our kids to the fair, to museums, on vacations... we're in our 60s now and it's OKAY if we're slowing down a little. Time to enjoy the simple things! :)

  11. Hi there - fun screenshots -- I must admit, I have a hard time even getting 1 screenshot! :) Our trees haven't changed color much yet in Nebraska, but soon. Tons of acorns are falling. Have a wonderful Sunday!

  12. Simple living is nice, isn't it? I have been slowly organizing my photo files and deleting a few pictures here and there. I love that picture of your doggy on top of the couch, that's so funny. Dogs will sit and rest anywhere they feel comfortable. And this is a delightful photo of Madison and Flynn. Have a blessed rest of the week, Billie Jo.
