And here is what's inside...
The first thing inside is the October poem. It is actually more of a quote, but I just love it. It is my very favorite.
October is nature’s funeral month. Nature glories in death more than in life. The month of departure
is more beautiful than the month of coming – October than May. Every green thing loves to
die in bright colors.”- Henry Ward Beecher

The next thing inside is my list of things to do this month.
October
- Porch furniture away
- Put hose away
- Clean furnace filter
- Switch coat closets out
- Cut down shrubs
- Finalize Halloween costumes
- Decorate inside
- Decorate outside-Pumpkin Patch
- Madison and Flynn birthday supplies
- Madison and Flynn birthday shopping
- Look for Christmas clothes and pajamas
- Fall Fun Day at park
I also have a newspaper article I clipped years ago with some good information about preparing for winter in this part of the world. ; ) If you would like to read it yourself, it was written by Sara Noel as part of her Frugal Living series.
And then I have my special October recipes tucked inside. The Candy Corn Pizza and Spiderweb Munch are traditional favorites here.
So that is what is inside my October folder. Happy planning friends!
I was thinking tonight that there are only 3 mo. left of this year. CRAZY!
ReplyDeleteHappy 1st of October. SO many great feast days to celebrate!
I love your monthly folders! I also like October - always have - my birthday is Oct. 9 and Hubby and son are Oct. 6 - son-in-law Oct. 2. Lots of reasons to celebrate fall in our family! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI think it was about this time last year you had me start thinking about a monthly folder, especially the "to do" list part. So I started one in January and never finished! Ha ha! You are so good with it. I had to laugh at the difference in climate. We still have near 90 temps and I just dug into the "fall" clothes bin looking for things that weren't so white/summery bright to wear to church. My kids told my I committed the cardinal sin of making them wear white after labor day! Ha ha. I thought you'd appreciate that one :) And I did find some (short sleeved) fall colored clothes for them in those bins!
ReplyDeleteWHOA GF! LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the new background here! (sorry for yelling, I was squealing and my husband was like, "What?"-lol)--when I hs'ed I also kept a folder chock full of stuff. What a good teacher you are. Have a blessed Tuesday.
