The First Week Of June

Hello! And Happy Friday! Our week was quiet, productive, and fun! Here are a few pictures of the first week of June in our world. First up, I continued my early morning walks. If it seems like my pictures are all taken in the same area, that is because they are! I am a creature of habit, and walk the same route every day. I come across different friends every day; some have become regulars.

I also stop and take a short walk out onto the dock every day to say good morning to my mom. My mom grew up spending her summers on a lake, and I did too. We had a place on a lake for several years when I was younger. The sound the dock makes when you walk on it always reminds me of summers at the lake with my momma.

I switched up my lunches this week. I replaced the salad with a sweet potato, cottage cheese, a hard-boiled egg, and some fresh fruit.

Flynn and I are finishing up sophomore year! I cannot believe that. I have homeschooled her all these years, beginning with Preschool.

It has been and continues to be an absolute honor to spend my days homeschooling my kids. We have so much fun!

Also this week, my girls made pies! Madison made her favorite, blackberry pie...

And it was delicious!!!

And Peyton made strawberry pie...

We couldn't try it, but based on past experience, it was amazing. I will finish with some pictures of the pups.

This one is quiet and unsure, but so very loving. While Mocha is a bit more, shall we say, vocal?? But cute as can be!

And Flynn's Marty?

He is smart, loyal, and fun.

Last one! I sent this selfie to Madison to show her I was wearing... and loving... the hoodie she got me. She and I watched Little Bear every single day when she was young. And we both love him. Peyton, Rhett, and Flynn, too. Madison found this sweatshirt for me, and I am so happy because every time I wear it, I remember those cozy days at home with my little ones, watching Little Bear and his friends in the forest.

Have a nice weekend, my friends. It is going to be hot here! Flynn works tomorrow, so we will pick her up after and go to Mass. After Mass, we plan to get dinner, take it to the condo, and then sit on the beach. I am also going to sip on some iced coffee and visit with you! And that is it! Thanks for visiting!

  1. Love the pictures of the daily walk and how even though it is the same place the view changes from day to day depending on weather and wildlife. I, too, am a creature of habit and kind of "like" my habits. I am the same way with foods---get my favorites and that's what I want...lol...and don't give me any raw fish. lol
I am so glad you were able to homeschool your kids and that it was a good experience. Not everyone can do that--nor do they want to even try. You did a good job, Mom.
Our 'bear' when the kids were little was Paddington Bear and Sears had a whole line of the clothing and it was 'expensive' then compared to what the other stuff sold for...but that was my choice for my littlest guy.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Billie Jo. xo Diana
