Good Morning! Happy Monday! We are waking up at the condo and will be going to sleep at home. I am so thankful we chose to live near the ocean, and that we have but a short ride over the bridge to get there. We had a quiet weekend, my favorite. I swam in the mornings, then read, and napped in the afternoon. We went to Mass Saturday night and had dinner with Madison and Nicolas. Sunday, I made dinner, and we settled in for football and a cozy time. Today, I am going to take one more swim before we head home for homeschool and Steeler Football.
Saturday, we tried a new Mediterranean restaurant. It was amazing. The atmosphere was so neat, and the food? Delicious.
The food was Turkish and Moroccan-inspired, and it was delicious.
The weather last week was unbelievable for January. I even took a walk on Friday. I don't know who was more excited, me or Mocha!
And then I was happy to settle in for coffee and a delicious cranberry orange scone made by my Madison.
I had a few requests for the meals I posted last Friday. Here they are!
( I used boneless/skinless thighs )
Have a nice day, my friends. Thanks for stopping!
Billie Jo

Thanks for the recipes, Billie Jo!! I saved them both!! I'm glad you had such a great weekend at the beach and are safely back home, ready for a great week ahead! Blessings!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful weekend. Time at the beach and time with family is the best.
ReplyDeleteWe're having stuffed peppers tonight because of your post on it last week. :)
For some reason, Google won't let me sign in, so I'm commenting under anonymous, but it's Mari.
I'll be cheering on the Steelers with you!!!
ReplyDeleteFor a few seconds, I got stuck at the picture of the cream brulee. My favorite!!! It is nice for you all just to drive over the bridge to the ocean and by doing so, we get to enjoy the beautiful stories and scenes. Billie Jo, it looks like a nice weekend with some good meals. Football was on all day at our house on Sunday. I do like Josh Allen with the Buffalo Bills... Of course, my team "Kansas City Chiefs" sadly will not be playing..tear and another tear. Enjoy the week....
ReplyDeleteThat restarant looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the recipes. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Week!!
What a wonderful weekend! That scone looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice weekend for you.
ReplyDeleteThe orange scone looks absolutely perfect. And the restaurant looks awesome. Love the lighting. But your SKY!!! It is beyond gorgeous! It seems that the condo has better sunsets then home.
ReplyDeleteIt looks and sounds as if you had a wonderful restful weekend, my friend. I'm so glad. I pinned the chicken recipe! It sounds amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe ocean is so beautiful! I'm envious of your lovely days...as we start to reach the cabin fever season of snow. Lol The restaurant you went to looks and sounds AMAZING! I have your stuffed peppers recipe and need to get on making that! It sounds so yummy. Blessings on your week ahead. 💗
ReplyDeleteSucha beautiful place to walk! I love the sun shining on the water!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday friend! You are right - the weather has just been so nice. And refreshing. I might be able to enjoy (not simply endure) January at this rate!! Hope your week is off to a nice start!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds just about perfect. Relaxation, swimming, family time and a delicious looking restaurant. The scone is the "icing on the cake". Madison can bake for me anytime! I hope all is going well with the homeschooling this afternoon. I miss those days and having my kids all close.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
