Hello! I am coming to you from chilly Pennsylvania! We are having a nice time and getting some things done! My doctor's appointment went well —just a regular visit —and the dentist is over, so there is that. Flynn is still cavity-free, which means our streak of no cavities for all four of my children continues! Yay!
We went to the pumpkin patch with Peyton and Chris, then to their house for dinner. Peyton made one of our favorite family recipes: pumpkin-stuffed shells. They were delicious! She somehow makes them even better! She made the most delicious dessert, too. It was Chocolate Cobbler, and it was as good as it sounds.
Me: So happy to be on my way to Peyton's!
Steve and I also went to visit my dear friend Delane, whom I have known for over twenty-five years! She is seventy-six years old, and I struggle to keep up with her! She always sends me recipes and ideas for the kids, and we love her so. After that, we took takeout to Heather and Dave's and had a great visit, watched The Golden Bachelor, and ate carrot cake and peanut butter pie that she made for both of our birthdays!
Flynn and I have done some schoolwork, and now I am relaxing by the fire! Happy Weekend, my friends!

I love that shirt with the ghosties! Pumpkin shells, yes please and thank you. Sounds good to me. Very cold here today. Perfect Halloween week with the crows crowing as I type.
ReplyDeleteOh my - what a fabulous time! I love all the pics and the food looks so good.
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here too, just went for a walk in my winter coat.
You and Peyton look so cute in that pic, and you look like you could be her sister!
That dinner looks delicious! I love your 21 Pilots hoodie.
ReplyDeleteYay! How perfectly fall! I am sure it's so good to see Peyton. Her food always always impressed me. She has such a gift. It's amazing the cavity free streak your family has. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThe shells look so good! I have never heard of chocolate cobbler, but it looks divine!!!
ReplyDeleteLoved my trip to Philly but found it really exspensive.
ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo! You had a busy but good week. So glad that things went well with the doctor and dentist. As always, the delicious food you show in your posts makes me hungry! I hope you have a wonderful, cozy fall weekend! See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for checking on me. I "think" I had a post published today. Maybe my computer woes are finally over, at least with the MacBook.
ReplyDeleteThe food looks absolutely delicious. I wish I could visit Peyton for dinner! :-) Glad the doctor and dentist appointments went well. That's always a relief isn't it?
Blessings and love,
Betsy
