Some weeks, my camera roll is filled to the brim with all kinds of "Blog Worthy" photos. This is not that week. I do have these pictures of the view from my back deck after the fog burned off this morning. Today looks to be a beautiful September day here in Maryland. Although I didn't hate the cozy, rainy, stormy day we had earlier in the week. Just sayin'.
In the absence of more personal pictures toady, I dove into my "Yep" file and grabbed a few quotes I found funny or relevant at some point in time and saved them for some reason I can no longer recall. I hope you enjoy!
Thanks to all of you for the Happy Birthday wishes! They mean more to me than you know. Have a lovely September weekend, my friends. I plan on some light housecleaning, some heavy reading, mass, dinner out with friends, and watching Charlie Kirk's funeral on Sunday afternoon. We lost a good soul, a strong patriot, a decent man, and let us not forget a young husband and father, the day Charlie Kirk was killed. Whether or not you feel the same, I hope we can all agree that the public assassination of a young man sharing his views and inviting others into conversation is simply devastating, tragic, foreboding, and unbelievably sad. I pray for his family for strength.
I apologize for not visiting lately, my friends. I will pour a cup and be around to see you soon!
Billie Jo
Maryland looks beautiful! I have spent my whole life in Texas and haven't really ventured further. I should remedy that!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful views from your home!
ReplyDeleteI love the meme on directions. I don't do South or West either, tell me to turn right at the big barn!
We'll also be watching the Charlie Kirk funeral.
i love love love these jokes you posted! They have made my day! And your beautiful photos, they truly represent calm to me.
ReplyDeleteCute memes.
ReplyDeleteThe chips!! I guess I ate more than 10 cinnamon chips the other night after dinner because I woke up at 1am with a sour stomach. I won't make that mistake again. Well, I might. :) And The Things. That is true more often than I care to admit.
ReplyDeleteCharlie Kirk's assassination was heartbreaking. Any assassination is heartbreaking. We've been praying for his family. Hope you have a great weekend.
You're living life well. And yep. I love all your "yep folder" pics!
ReplyDeleteThe quotes you shared are good. I had not heard/seen any of them before.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the things you said regarding Charlie Kirk. We plan to watch his service this Sunday, too. It's been a hard time for so many but good is coming of it. That's the way God works!!
I too will be watching the service for Charlie Kirk and attending a memorial tonight in my area. I continue to mourn for this dear soul! Such a very difficult time for us all.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful views!!! Sadden by the murder of Charlie Kirk - sad times we live in with so much hate and evil.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your photos, agree with your thoughts on Charlie Kirk, and wish you a restful weekend. Many of us will be watching the funeral on Sunday. xo
ReplyDeleteRIP Charlie Kirk, God help his family. This stinks of a state sponsored paid assassination, not some mentally ill college kid. There are numerous videos and photos of a second shooter with a palm gun in the area, also Kirk had an unpleasant meeting with a big Zionist donor mad about his recent criticism of Israel, AIPAC and Netanyahu. Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson have the story, too bad average folks aren't listening.
ReplyDeleteHello my friend, I love your beautiful photos as well as the jokes. And your blog header is absolutely gorgeous! I love the Autumn theme, and Snoopy is delightful! Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have said nothing pubicly about Charlie Kirk but I have to admit it affected me personally in a big way and I guess I live under a rock 'cause I'd never heard of Charlie Kirk before he was killed. Don't watch much tv. But, i pray for his family and for all the workers/believers who carry on his work. God bless him.
ReplyDeleteI think I can relate to all of those quotes :)
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend, Billie Jo. X
The whole Charlie thing is heartbreaking, he was such a good guy, so funny and kind and thought provoking. It hit me hard. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday! I literally giggled at the direction quote because today while looking for yard sales my friend was trying to navigate and I was like look....where is south. I don't even know where I am. LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY...BELATED!! I like what you shared where to go --head south Lewis and Clark Chik fil A or Target!!! Too soon back then~ smile!!! I am disappointed with what happened to Charlie as he should still be alive. So grateful for the promise of heaven through Jesus Christ our savior. Last Sunday sermon did touch my heart and mind with pastor that is in the book Matthew. I need to watch TBN tomorrow or maybe this evening. Off the network and phone now. We had rain this morning which we needed for sure. Less money to pay for water. Have a good week and enjoy Autumn as it arrives on Monday!!
ReplyDeleteI love the view from your new home! Enjoy the Fall days in your new home!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, these quotes are so funny, Billie Jo. Where do you come up with the delightful quotes? I especially love that "chips" one. That is so me And the "directions" quote.....I am so bad with directions, and I need those landmarks to get to where I'm going. The view from your back deck is so pretty. And I love a foggy, misty morning.
