Monday Morning Coffee... And A Muffin!

Good Monday morning, my friends. I was lucky to have a delicious blueberry rhubarb muffin with my coffee this morning. It is a happy day when your firstborn bakes and brings you some of her delicious creations so you can enjoy them with your coffee. How was your weekend? We had a nice, quiet one here. The weather has been cloudy and windy, but Friday night, Madison and I were able to spend some time at the beach. It was beautiful and calm.

On Saturday, we went to mass, and afterward, Steve asked what we wanted to do for dinner. I was hungry for pizza, so we went to our favorite Italian restaurant and enjoyed the most delicious pizza ever. I even had a Coke, which I rarely do because I try to drink water, but hey. Sometimes you just have to let loose and really go wild! : )

Last but not least, I am missing my mamma today. I hear her singing in my heart, though. She always said that you can't be sad if you are singing.

Have a good day, my friends. Thanks for visiting!

  3. That muffin and pizza both look yummy. Thank you for the beach photos. We're heading to the Oregon coast in two months and are looking forward to beach time and enjoying. I'm sorry you're missing your Mom. Dennis and I have been saying the same. Usually when we're on a trip we'll call her each night and tell her what we've done that day. She so loved to travel and camp and it made her day. It doesn't seem right to not be calling her and telling her about the deer, buffalo and other animals we've seen. I'm praying for you my friend.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  4. You have a beautiful cup. Beautiful beach photos. In Poland they say that he who sings prays twice. Your mother has a joyful and kind expression on her face, she must have been a wonderful person. I prayed for her and send you hugs BillieJo.

  6. I understand about missing your mother. The other day I saw something Mom would have thought was hilarious and reflexively picked up the phone to call her and tell her. Immediately I was missing her terribly.

  7. I totally get what you mean about letting loose and having that Coca-Cola! LOL ๐Ÿ˜ whew, livin’ on the edge!
Your mama singing in your heart is such a gift. Recently, I’ve been remembering my mom’s beautiful alto voice singing harmony next to me in church. Makes her seem near๐Ÿ’“

  9. Your Mother was right, she was so wise. Those birds are so big! And even though it was calm, there are the waves. The pizza looks wonderful. I can almost smell it through the screen. Our weekend was full of rain and tornado watches.

  15. That pizza looks amazing! I don't mind clouds but wind can definitely be annoying. The beach looked like it provided a nice view.

I am sad for you to be missing your mom. And grateful you honor those feelings and let us pray with you. Your mom was so smart... singing really does help a lot.

  16. Aww! I still love to see pictures of your mama. I know you miss her so much. I once had a college professor tell my class that if a child/anyone is singing to themselves, that usually means they feel secure in their world. Your mama is right! Glad y'all had a fun pizza dinner! And yay for Coke!

  23. Delicious muffin ๐Ÿ˜‹ that you had with your coffee. I'm glad you enjoyed being at the beach. It's been hot lately into the 90° F. But it's getting cooler weather now. I had a different day than I expected due to my husband's car issues. Better now though as he got a newer car. Enjoy you day!!
