Good Monday morning, my friends. There is no coffee cup picture today. I literally just put it in the dishwasher and hit "Start." It was delicious, I assure you. Steve and I made a quick trip back to Pennsylvania this past weekend. We left on Friday afternoon and managed to run into an excessive amount of traffic. Apparently, other people travel on Friday afternoons. Imagine. I did manage to snap a few pretty photos as we returned to the mountains at dusk.
The kids held the fort at home, although these three may miss me a little! We had a wonderful time with Peyton and Chris and enjoyed every moment. We went to mass, out to dinner, and then back to their cozy home for dessert.
It was as delicious as it looks! Peyton made an Oreo dessert with pudding, cream cheese, and homemade whipped topping!
Those two have a beautiful home, and the biggest dandelions I have ever seen.
Last night, looking out on the lake...
Today, we are heading back to Maryland, trading this beautiful view for one of the ocean. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and a happy, healthy, cozy day. Thank you for visiting!
I'm glad you had a lovely weekend. I love being home and all of the things listed too. Enjoy your Monday.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a wonderful weekend! I'm glad you had your precious family around you on Mothers Day as I know it was a hard one for you.
ReplyDeleteI make that dessert too. It's yummy!
The first Mother's Day without your Mom is the hardest, but the memories do not lessen over time. We have a relatively early morning communion service at our church each Sunday prior to our traditional 8:30 service. There are usually under 50 people there and the minister had us one by one say our mothers names aloud right before the prayer ending the service. It was a very touching moment.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a lovely weekend! Love the pic of the pups all lined up on the stairs.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend and a nice Mother's Day celebrations. The pictures are lovely. The dogs look so cute on the stairs. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThe pups on the steps are a priceless photo.
ReplyDeleteIt both looks and sounds like a lovely weekend and both of those views are wonderful. We miss our lakes in Washington. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day even though I'm sure it was a tough one for you.
