Good Monday morning! I hope your weekend was just how you planned. My weekend was quiet and cozy. Everyone except Madison and I was off doing camp or football or concert things. We were happy to be home, not doing those things. Here are a few pictures of our cozy weekend.
Not pictured: eating leftover pot roast and macaroni and cheese, watching a BBC show about the best Christmas House in Scotland, getting Pizza Hut delivery, and simply spending special time together by the Christmas tree, just as we did all those years ago when two-year-old Madison snuggled on the couch with her pink jammies and matching robe watching Red Boots for Christmas.
Only two more weeks, my friends. Let's hope they pass slowly, joyfully, and with health and happiness. I plan on being intentional in my daily life, soaking in the Christmas lights and music and the simple feeling of contentment that is December in our home.
Have a wonderful day!
Billie Jo
Your home always looks cozy and inviting. 2 weeks! I have some finishing up to do!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a wonderful weekend! I can't believe we're only two weeks away from Christmas. I want it to slow down!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds so happy and cozy. I love staying home. December seems to be flying by.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,

That sounds like a perfect weekend to me. Are you enjoying that book? Your third picture made me laugh. So cute! Enjoy these two weeks leading to Christmas day.
ReplyDeleteYour cozy weekend sounds nice, Billie Jo. Just my cup of tea. ; ) That is a pretty picture of the sun shining through your living room. It looks like the pups are getting along nicely. And that brownie looks so Yummy. It's wonderful you are enjoying these special quiet times before Christmas. They really are perfect times.
ReplyDeleteA Merry Christmas season, my friend.

Hi Billie Jo! Your weekend sounds perfect and so cozy in every way! I need to check out that show on BBC. It sounds exactly like something I'd love. The picture of Cosmo peeking out from his kennel is adorable by the way! December seems to be flying by. Christmas is only two weeks away and I still have a few last minute gifts to buy - mostly stocking stuffers. Hope you have a cozy day!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds perfect to me! Mine was pretty similar. My first thought this morning was please let these next few weeks go by slowly and peacefully. Enjoy the holiday season my friend!!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds wonderful! Ours was uneventful...just the way we like it. ~wink~ Hubby cut firewood, I did laundry, yesterday was church and then a quick run to the pharmacy to pick up some prescriptions and a few groceries. We were predicted to get severe weather starting mid-afternoon so we were scurrying about a bit. But the weather turned out to be just a dusting of snow after lots of rain. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love love your blog and your attitude.
ReplyDeleteChristmas comes every year. We all know that. There is no reason for leaving things too late and the stress. It is sad when I hear or read about people complaining about so much to do and so little time. Thank you for your writing. Brenda
Dearest Billie Jo,
ReplyDeleteLove your all white Christmas tree lights!
Being home at this time of the year is cozy and special.
Wishing you a Happy 2nd Advent Week!
Hugs,
Mariette

ReplyDeleteA perfect way to spend a weekend among such sweet surroundings. Loving this look into your pretty home through your photos, and those dear, sweet pups, adorable! Thank you for sharing Billie Jo and enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteI'm so much like you where I'd rather be cozy at home and if I had your home I'd probably never leave lol. Hope you have a fabulous week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI love cozy weekends at home. We have many of them!!
ReplyDeleteYour home looks beautiful, all lit up for Christmas. Why would you want to be anywhere else. Xx
ReplyDeleteHow special to have time just you and Madison. Not that having the whole group together is ever a bad thing, but so nice to have those one-on-one moments too.
ReplyDeleteYour house looks so cozy and so do the dogs :) Being home with your baby is always special, no matter how old they get :) Have a wonderful week, my cozy friend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a super cozy time! Yes, I hope the next couple of weeks slow down so we can savor the season! Love the pics of the cute pups!
ReplyDeleteI admit I'm a homebody...it's fun to get out and enjoy things, but more often than not I'm happiest just curling up and enjoying the quiet, or a movie, hot chocolate, popcorn...this time of year is meant for unwinding, reflecting, and trying to soak it all in. Yes, hoping the time goes slowly. Thanks for the reminder!
