Monday Morning Coffee Talk

Good Monday morning, my friends! I hope your weekend was everything you wanted it to be. Friday night, we did indeed head to our favorite parish fish fry, and Flynn was kind enough to allow me to snap a selfie before we left! We took our pastor's lovely mother with us and had the best time visiting with her. She is the most beautiful person and just sent me a photo yesterday when she visited my mom.

Is this not the most beautiful photo?

The storm did indeed arrive and brought snow and wind with it. We were left with four inches of spring snow and some frigid temperatures when it was said and done. That meant days inside with my book and my throw blanket, which did not bother me at all. This week brings St. Patrick's Day! I have a few touches of green and gold around, including two favorite Yankee Candle scents, Lucky Shamrock and Emerald Isle. I hope my friend Peggy is reading, because she is a fan of the candles too!

Have a cozy Monday, my friends!
I am heading to get some color in my hair and then back home for school, dinner, and The Bachelor, which promises the first night of "The Most Dramatic Finale Ever." Lol!

  2. Everything looks so nice. The snow passed us by but the frigid temperatures did not so I spent the weekend snug and warm at home.

  5. Such a sweet photo of the ladies. 💕 I'm ready for the "most shocking" finale ever too! What a hot mess this season has been. Apparently, he wasn't thinking clearly on the fantasy suite date nights. 😬 lol

  8. Those cookies remind me that I want to make some shamrock cookies. Don't know when that is going to happen.... maybe tonight?

  10. That is a lovely picture of your mom and your pastor's mom. So sweet. You can feel love love. I also love the picture of you and your husband at the beach. That's a keeper. I bet that green candle smells so good! The little teacups with shamrocks on them are so fun. As always, your decorations are the best, no matter what the holiday. Have a wonderful week!

  11. Such a sweet selfie of the two of you, and then such a sweet picture of the pastor's mother and your mom, oh so precious! Love the little touches of green about your home. We enjoyed corn beef brisket already twice this past week, once at home, and once at church... and now, lots of leftovers :) My daughter's birthday is on St. Patrick's Day :) Have a blessed and wonderful week!

  12. Oh my goodness, you've reminded me that St. Patrick's Day is this week. I like to make a loaf of Irish Soda Bread for the day, and I also have a friend (in the nursing home) who's birthday is the 17th! I like your cute St. Patrick decorations. :)

  19. It's nice to see a picture of you and Flynn! I love your haircut and color by the way. I have an appointment for color and a good trim in three weeks and I'm looking forward to it. I love the sweet picture of your mom. She looks happy. I honestly didn't decorate at all for St. Patrick's day, but I've always loved this holiday. I thought Charlotte might be born on St. Patrick's day but decided to make her appearance two days later. Green is my favorite color and I've always wanted to visit Ireland. I'll probably make sausage with cabbage and potatoes or maybe a shepherd's pie. Anyway, hope you are having a great week!

  20. Hello Dear lovely Lady! Well hopefully the snow won't last long and there will be lots of sunshine ahead. But snuggly time is always nice too. That pic of your Mom and the pastor's Mom is beautifully precious. 😍
Love your bits 'O the Irish around. Perfect touches! And both of those candles sound perfect. I went straight to Spring this year and didn't get out my St. Paddy's things. But I'm Irish so I'll acknowledge Thursday in some way. 😉 Have a blessed rest of your week.

  22. I love to see that coffee corner of yours. It's so charming. Emerald Isle Candle! Oh, I would love to get one. Emerald is my birthstone. Your snow is so pretty, and I never tire of seeing snow pictures. That's such a dear picture of your Mom. And those little St. Patrick's Day figurines are too cute. This was a delightful post, Billie Jo. And a cute photo of you and Flynn.
