A Birthday, A Thanksgiving, and Some Christmas

How was your week, my friends? We had a festive one here!
First of all, Flynn thanks you for all the love!
Her birthday was fun and cozy and just the way she hoped it would be. There were presents to open, cake to eat, and movies to watch. And yes. Peyton made the delicious cake. : )
Yesterday, she, Nicolas, and I traveled to visit my mom and celebrate Thanksgiving with her and her friends at her assisted living home. We are truly blessed that she lives in such a happy, caring, festive, cozy place.
We had a wonderful visit!
And although we have yet to eat turkey and pumpkin pie here, we are slowly beginning to sprinkle our lives with the magic of Christmas. First up? Christmas jammies! And matching ones for Amy, Flynn's favorite little friend.

Have a cozy last weekend of November, my friends.
Don't forget to put that turkey in the refrigerator to thaw on Sunday.
And don't wait until Wednesday to shop for those last-minute items!

  2. Happy Birthday Flynn! I can't believe she is 10yrs old! I have been meaning to congratulate you on publishing your book! My hubby ordered it for me :) I just finished reading it & it seriously made me feel sooooo good! Kinda like when you watch one of your good old favorite movies that just make you feel good & happy afterwards! Your book gave me so much insight & genuinely made me feel validated about a lot of the same feelings/opinions you hold close to your heart about family, raising children, how our time is spent & life in general! So that was refreshing & made me feel comforted by knowing I'm not the only one who feels that way! Your book will be like one of my favorite movies... One I will go back & read again and again! Have a blessed weekend my friend!
    Love,
    Lisa

  10. What a nice celebration for Flynn. That chocolate cake looks amazing. Such a dear picture of you and your mom. I bet she loved seeing you there for the Thanksgiving holiday. That's so cute that Flynn and her doll have matching jammies. I noticed her red plaid skirt. Oh my, I smiled big on that. Love red plaid. And this is a sweet picture of her and her dad.
