Baking Day 2018!

Peyton did it again! She baked all these amazing cookies on Sunday, with a little help from Madison, Flynn, and myself. She planned, prepared, and worked in the kitchen all day. And now we have a freezer stocked for Christmas, as well as several plates packed up for friends and neighbors.

I remember so clearly baking cookies in my kitchen years ago, with a little Peyton Rose by my side. I remember pulling her yellow Little Tykes chair in front of the oven so she could watch while pumpkin bread baked inside. She has always loved baking, and I am so proud of the love she puts into every batch.

Have a wonderful, cozy week, my friends.
Sit by your glistening tree with a cup of whatever makes you happy.
Listen to some classic Christmas songs or watch Rudolph one more time.
Christmas is but one week away!

  12. Oh my goodness what a great haul she has created! And all so neat and identical, she has a talent! WE bake seven different cookies for Christmas and do them over several days, I like the idea though of a baking day. May ponder on that one for next year!
