It is charming, beautiful, cozy, and full of history.
We arrived just in time for a quick lunch by the pool...
then I visited the spa while Steve took a long walk.
Our room was so cozy. And clean. A must, right?
And we had a private balcony complete with comfy rockers.
This was the view from our rockers. We just sat and visited and relaxed. And rested.
The inside of the resort is just as beautiful. This is the walkway near the indoor pool.
Saturday morning we had a delicious room service breakfast and headed home...refreshed and renewed...and mindful of how blessed we are to have our little family waiting at home for us. : )
Remember to take time for you and your spouse. I think it is one of the best gift we can give our children...the gift of an example of a loving marriage. : )
Beautiful words at the end of your post, dear Billie Jo, and so true :) Your little getaway looked lovely and so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week, dear friend. Hugs!
Love this, Billie Jo. A great example. Looks like such a lovely time!
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely!! Beautiful pictures..Blessings
ReplyDeleteIf we dont take care of our marriage, we arent able to care for our children in the right manner. Your getaway is beautiful and you are so smart to do this now and then.
ReplyDeleteHey, my friend Beth was just there with her family last Thursday. Small world. It looks wonderful there. I'm glad you were able to rejuvenate and spend some quality time with each other.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the pictures of your getaway. The resort looks beautiful! Hope your August is off to a great start! ( Where did the summer go -didn't it just start? :) )
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous resort. It's great to get away and always feels good to return home.
ReplyDeleteLooks so beautiful, perfect spot to get away for a romantic evening!
ReplyDeleteWe try to go on a date at least once a month. It's usually just for a couple hours, but I'm really thankful for the time my mom is willing to watch the kids for us to have a little time together. The youngest child almost always is with us too :)
ReplyDeleteWe have never been there but I know exactly where that is. We have talked about going there but never went.
ReplyDeleteWe were going on weekly dates ourselves but haven't this whole summer due to the new baby. I can't wait to get away again.
Gorgeous overnight stay! I long for the day when hubby and I can do little getaways. We just aren't at that stage yet with the kiddos. Hopefully one day.
ReplyDeleteGood for you and Steve and setting such a wonderful example to your kids!
Billie Jo! What beautiful place to get away and unwind! Oh I want to go there! So so pretty and if it passes your cozy and clean and yummy test than it sure passes mine! Maybe one day...
ReplyDeleteBillie Jo, I feel relaxed just looking at your pictures! So beautiful! The scenery is something else - wow :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo! WOW! This looks perfect! Those views from the porch look immaculate! I was just thinking tonight how I would love to have a getaway with my hubby, but with a nursing baby that's a challenge these days! :) We were in PA near Pittsburgh this past weekend. How close is this resort from Pittsburgh? I know PA is a big state, but just curious. What a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteamazing!!
ReplyDeletewas this the same little get away spot from last year??:)
