We have a basket of Christmas books in our hearth room. Every year, the kids get excited as they look through eighteen years worth of special Christmas books I keep packed away until this special time of year. Every evening after dinner, we choose one and take turns reading aloud. It is a short amount of time, but we enjoy it oh so much. One is never too old to enjoy the magic of Christmas stories, right? And making an effort to do this means we don't get too busy to stop and read together. : )
Billie Jo, I'm excited to read through this month of traditions with you. Love the idea of a book basket, but especially love how you each take turns reading! Great idea.
