Cruise Memories 2015

Last week was a dream. My people and I...plus one Danish boyfriend...spent the week together on the most beautiful cruise ship sailing through some of the most amazing places on earth. There was fun and food and sun and sunscreen. There were naps and milkshakes and late nights and comedy clubs. There was nightly turn down service and walks on the deck and fabulous dinners and movies by the pool. And we were together. For seven glorious days and nights, we were together. Here are waaaay too many pictures to show you more. : )

My girl and I...a quick selfie before we boarded!

And a little lady who was so happy to find a surprise waiting for her on her bed. : )

This was the view...

from wherever you looked.

Perhaps my favorite photo of my Peyton ever. : )

There were stops at beautiful islands with crystal clear water...

And days spent on the ship...

(There's an ocean outside my window!)

There was dancing at dinner...

and really fun times too...

There was this adorable cabana right on the beach...which was later stocked with fresh fruit and veggies and chips with fresh salsa...and it was a few steps away from...

this. : )

Nights on the ship were spent like this...

or at The Comedy Club where we waited for the show to start by taking selfies...

and by drinking these. : )

We ate ice cream BEFORE dinner...

and watched movies by the pool.

We enjoyed breakfast with The Cat In The Hat...

and she ate Green Eggs and Ham, of course!

We made amazing friends...

and came home with memories in our hearts that will last a lifetime.

Family vacations are moments in time where life stands still, and we savor each and every moment.

Thursday Thoughts

Today I'm thinking about...

...vacation! Because we are off this weekend for our annual family summer vacation! Once a year Steve convinces me to leave the safety and comfort and security of our home for an entire week. Hard to believe, right? If there were a "Homebodies Anonymous", I'd be the very first member. But seriously, we always have a wonderful time being together no matter where we are. This year we are embarking on a new adventure...a Caribbean Cruise! Steve and I have gone a few cruises years ago, but not since we added children to the mix. So we are all looking forward to a brand new adventure together. I will be in and out of range during the week, but will be back here as soon as we get home. In the meantime, have a wonderful summer week, my friends! I leave you with a peek at the past week in our little corner of the world...

We traveled to Madison's graduation last weekend, and I suddenly realized my baby has grown!

Case in point. : )

My favorite shot of my graduate. : )

Weekend trips are fun...but exhausting.

Snapchat is fun for long car rides though. : )

Once home, I was happy to resume cooking our favorites.

And Flynn was happy to get outside!

She took some beautiful pictures too. : )

We enjoyed cupcakes for breakfast...

and lazy days with our pup on the porch.

We celebrated Madison and her graduation with a dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant and some family and friends...Here she is all ready to go...

and the table all set up...

with favors all ready...yummy cookies inside...

and a beautiful and delicious lemon cake with berry filling inside. : )

With her Dad. : )

And her Grandma. : )

It was a wonderful ending to a wonderful graduation for my girl!

Summer is here, my friends!
Enjoy!
