Things I Like And Things I Don't

I like mornings with my coffee, my prayers, and my pups.

I like climbing into a freshly made bed at the end of the day.

I like making my family a good home-cooked meal.

I like takeout nights, too.

I like canceled plans.

I like online ordering and grocery delivery.

I like that I have learned to be unapologetically me.

I don't like prescription drug commercials for pills with strange names.

I don't like group texts that pressure you to read and respond immediately.

I don't like sticky refrigerator shelves.

I don't like when people drop in without calling or texting first.

I don't like floral-scented candles.

I don't like soggy french fries with no salt.

I don't like it when it is too warm for a throw blanket on the couch.

Just in case you were wondering!

  1. Fun list. I like canceled plans, and dislike group texts. Hmmm. I wonder what that says about us? Introverts?

  2. That was fun! I love spending time in nature. That would be at the top of my list! I don't like having to stay inside! lol

  3. I always enjoy your "like and don't like" posts, as many of them are mine too! I don't care for the group texts, because somehow things get lost in the translation, and there are some that respond to them much later, and it gets confusing. And I am constantly cleaning my fridge out. I like to get a call first when someone drops in, but that's not always the case with my in-laws. They seem to show up at any time haha. But so glad they are good humored people. I LOVE these vintage coffee photos. Such a delightful post, and it lets me get to know my blog friend a little better. ; )

  4. Now I know more about you! I don't like the pill commercials when they say how wonderful their drug is, but all the side effects can also cause death. I also don't like when dogs bark early in the morning, and when the grocery store is out of so many things.

  7. My children went to college…lived so many places…I am in Florida near son and family in a condo he bought for me. When he or those little grandsons surprise me at the door, it is like Christmas…in Indy, when I lived near daughter and family, when they surprised me with a special treat…love it love it…I probably could not make a list of dislikes except one lying…also a few of my friends and I have a text praying group…love that…this is a fun blog…Brenda

  8. Hi Billie Jo! I love mornings with my coffee. I hate surprise visitors. I don't mind group texts with my family. I do not like soggy french fries or crispy ones with no salt. I love take out food, but prefer to eat it on a tv tray watching our favorite shows. And I detest all the pharmaceutical commercials that basically tell you you're going to experience 100 more symptoms than you started with. And who makes up those names? I love fun blog posts!!

  10. Good list of likes and dislikes, my friend. The best one is You being unapologetically You! I personally wish drugs couldn't be in commercials any longer.

  11. This is such a fun post! I agree with all, but I really don't mind drop in visitors. Cancelled plans made me laugh, but I am totally with you!

  12. I also don't like soggy french fries. Don't like endless days of rain. Love cancelled plans! I love drinking a hot cup of tea in the evening, while wrapped up in a warm blanket. I love hearing the birds at the beginning of spring. And I love your blog!

  13. I absolutely love this and I’m pretty like this too. Coffee in the morning with God is definitely the best.

  14. How fun, so many ways that we are alike! I would love to be one of those people that says “drop in anytime” alas I am not - surprise visits make me stressed. And I must confess, I did just buy a candle in one of my favorite springtime scents-lilac. 😊

  15. What a great list of likes and dislikes. We have many of the same. I would add that I like staying in my jammies for a few hours after waking up. I don't like leaving the house anymore than I have to for necessities.
And I love your blog and look forward to it showing up on my blog list of new posts.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  17. I don't like when people drop in unexpectedly either, if they had given me a five minutes heads up, I could have changed my clothes, and picked up a few things. I don't like when I pick up my coffee and it's all gone. I do like reading your blog, and that you delight in the ordinary things in life. :)

  18. I don't like those commercials either, the side effects listed always make me shake my head though. Enjoyed reading your list of likes and dislikes. A lot of my likes/dislikes depend on the day. I don't mind LIGHT floral scented candles but pass on any heavy perfumey ones.

  19. I, too, enjoy hopping in bed with fresh sheets at the end of the day. There's just something so calming about it. And I totally agree with you about not liking the commercials for prescription drugs with strange names...especially when they list all of the side effects and you have to wonder which is worse...the disease or the cure.

  20. Haha! Me, too, on a lot of those😋 Nothing much better than fresh sheets and being freshly showered/bathed, and crawling under the covers. I think my favorite time might be my cuppa tea with Bible time. I enjoy insights into your everyday pleasures.
