New Year's 2016

New Year's Eve came quickly, and we were ready to celebrate! And by celebrate, I mean return from Mass, change into pajamas, and relax and eat until midnight. Here are a few pictures of our cozy celebration welcoming a brand new year...

My little one all ready for Mass on New Year's Eve...

and then later during a very tense game of Sophia the First Uno. : )

Our spread included crab dip with toasted bread, meat, cheese, and crackers, taco dip with tortilla chips, and Peyton's chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter icing.

Our table was set...

with all things festive. And yummy.

We had some friends in later who surprised us with this, and we enjoyed some visiting long past midnight.

Meanwhile, across the ocean, and six hours earlier, my firstborn celebrated the New Year with her Nicolas and his wonderful family.

She had a wonderful time. And I was so very happy for them both. : )

I have no pictures of New Year's Day, because...let's face it...we slept late...took naps...and watched The Twilight Zone all day long. The perfect way to start the new year, don't you think?

Happy and Blessed New Year, my friends.
Thanks for visiting!

  1. Your pictures sure put a smile on my face...and the look on Flynn's face playing cards...beautiful. Nicolas's family home is quite lovely. My sons gal pal is in Munich and will be home/back soon--her grand parents etc/ extended family lives there. They were Skyping all day---the time difference is something else to get nailed down, wink. I know both will be happy to be in the same state/country soon.

ANYWAYS---as always, your blog posts are full of love and happy things. Many Blessings to you.
