Being able to leap into all the spooky on the first day of October in a single bound! Well, actually, it may be because I started thinking about and planning for October in July, but...still. I am here for the cooler days and longer nights, the spooky movies, and the comfort foods. I have no complicated bucket list, and I won't stress if I don't organize and do it all. I will simply breathe and be and enjoy these fleeting thirty-one days of my favorite month of the year. And, of course, share the fun things I have been saving all summer long.

I absolutely 100% positively agree with you! My favorite month as well, crackling fires in the fireplace, soft and cozy sweatshirts, beautiful leaves, and Halloween – nothing gory, just old classics, and of course “It’s the great pumpkin Charlie Brown” - I don’t think we’re ever too old for that one! Let’s try and soak up every single day, so it doesn’t slip by too quickly – as always, appreciate the reminders to slow down and take it all in. Enjoy it all, Billie Jo!

ReplyDeleteHappy October! It's nice that you don't have a bucket list, and just go with the flow and enjoy the month. I appreciate October, as it's a cooler month, the leaves are changing around us, and it's Jess' birthday month. That last picture is so delightful with the fire going and the kids raking the leaves. They are probably getting ready to jump in them afterwards haha. And that old house with the old porch. There's just something about old houses that are so charming.

ReplyDeleteOh Billie Jo, it is so cozy and wonderful, and when those leaves crackle underfoot, the smell of crunchy leaves, the crispness of the morning air, it is lovely. I am more of a summer girl, bare feet and all, but that's because I love the pool, and love the feeling of sun on my skin. Autumn is it's own kind of amazing though. Love your pictures today!

ReplyDeleteAlways love seeing the fun images you share. Way back, I used to host a little Halloween party for the kids (and adults) in the Mom's club. We'd set up the tents in the backyard with all the food and those recipes would've been perfect. Miss those days though my husband was never a fan of the party as it happened at the same time as hunting season, ha! Hope you have a wonderful October.
