Who knew I was a dog person? Not me, certainly. But sometimes God puts something in your heart and you just hear it. And you realize that God knows you better than you know yourself. Mocha is a part of our family that I didn't even know was missing. I can't imagine life without her. She loves to snuggle with me on the sofa. She loves to sit on my lap in the car. She makes us all laugh with her antics. She follows our older dog Kirby around everywhere. Plus...she doesn't shed. I mean, how perfect is that? If you would have asked me years ago if tonight I would be sharing my bed with not one, but two dogs...I would have never believed you. Good thing I'm not in charge. : )
We refer to Mocha as my therapy dog.
And I suppose she is.
She calms my anxiety.
She fills our home with love.
And fun.
And what better gift is that, when all she asks for in return is food and warmth and love?
A great friend indeed, what more could anyone ask for? She is certainly adorable.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!! My daughter's former high school has a therapy dog exactly like your dog for students with anxiety. I think it is a brilliant idea. Nothing like snuggling with a small furry creature who loves you unconditionally :) to help lessen anxieties and stress.
ReplyDeleteOh My goodness! How can we not love these little creatures. They are just like babies, they just want our love and affection : ) these are such beautiful photos. the one with the chew toy/bone cracks me up.Blessings to you and your adorable little fur baby.
ReplyDeleteShe's just the cutest thing!! No wonder you fell in love with her!!
ReplyDeleteoh man, if Kirby is Steve's dog then Mocha is for sure yours!!! My goodness, she is the cutest little thing in the world. Can I tell you... I am so happy that you found her and she's in your house... extra love.
ReplyDeleteI so get it Billie Jo! You could insert Ruby for almost every time you mentioned Mocha and it would be my sentiments exactly. ;) Love the pics!! You and Mocha are both a couple of cuties. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI ditto those sentiments, as Coffee fills those same very things...although, he sheds, lol. AND he is not a lap dog---too big for that, although he likes to think otherwise, LOLOL.
ReplyDeleteMocha is adorable! And that photo of the 2 of you together (5th from the bottom one) is absolutely beautiful. You both are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI definitely hear what you are saying. My Gracie (7 month old beagle) has been a balm to me now that I am an empty nest mom. I refer to her as my baby, and I call myself Momma to her. She definitely has my heart, and, like your Mocha, she sleeps with us.
I am so thankful for the precious pooches God gives us to enrich our lives.
Blessings,
Patti
What a sweet puppy! Pets do enrich our lives. Great pictures. Have a nice week.
ReplyDeleteBillie Jo, how precious! Mocha is such a tiny baby and she looks so happy to have you as her mommy. Love the picture of her with the "HUGE" bone. :-)
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I like that she's your "therapy dog." I thought of you, Billie Jo, when I posted my tea giveaway the other day -- the name of your blog sticks in my mind! :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful therapy dog to me. I'm not much of an animal person myself, but ever since my boys got Daisy their Britney Pointer Mix 7 months ago...well I just love that full of energy pup! I think life would be boring without her. ;) and boy is she ever protective of her pack!
ReplyDeleteYour Mocha is just too cute...I'm glad she fills your home with love and joy!
Have a great week!
Amy
Hi Billie Jo,
ReplyDeleteOh she is just adorable! Getting another dog has been on my mind lately so this post was perfect timing! I think a therapy dog would help me immensely. xx
So sweet! I'm so glad you found a place in your heart for her. She looks very happy to be your therapy dog.
ReplyDeleteThe best therapy I could ever imagine! She's adorable!!!! ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable! I just can't deal with potty training at my age.
ReplyDeleteShe is so sweet. I'm so glad she brings you such joy. Great pictures. Love the one of the two of you outside.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved yorkies and would love to have one but I don't know how to potty train them at all. It would be so nice to have a little furry friend! Maybe some day.
ReplyDeleteAwe! Those are great pictures of Mocha and yourself :) I'm glad she brings you so much joy!
