Weekend Plans

These weeks are flying right by, aren't they? I love November weekends, though...The days are short and the nights are cozy and warm inside my country home. : ) This weekend we have a few things planned for some quiet family fun. Friday night is free. No one has any plans, other than to relax and enjoy some family time. My favorite.

Saturday morning I am going to get my hair cut and colored. Amen! There is something about a fresh cut that just makes me feel happy. Saturday afternoon Steve and Rhett are going to camp to do some hunting with something called a crossbow. The girls and I will attend Mass and then go out for dinner. After that...movies and ice cream in our jammies!

Sunday morning the girls and I are going to join Steve and Rhett for a family day at camp. We are planning on putting a big pot of Stuffed Pepper Soup on the stove, slicing some fresh bread and baking a yummy dessert to round out our cozy meal. Oh...and soup recipe to come soon. : )

And that, my friends, is what we are planning for this November weekend. I hope yours is happy and cozy and yummy, whatever your plans may be. Thanks for stopping by!

Flynn all decked out for All Saints Day Mass last week...

November in my backyard...

a few stray leaves hanging on and  an abandoned nest now in full view...

I have a sweet little 3 year old...

at least for a couple more weeks!

Jumping for joy to find these this week...

and these too. I tucked them away in the pantry. Right next to the Halloween candy. ; )

And a hot cup of coffee on a lazy Sunday morning...

Happy Weekend friends!

  4. Can't wait for the soup recipe! Flynn is just so cute! Enjoy your weekend..btw, it is raining here & the temp has dropped a good 20* here in western NY. Not complaining..my mil in Alabama said it was still in the 80's & humid, as did my parents in FL. No thank you..I rather be cold. lol--have a blessed day dear friend.

  5. Hi Billie Jo! Your daughters hair is so long and gorgeous! My daughter used to cry and scream when I'd comb her hair, and it wasn't half as long. So pretty.

My sister is coming into town with her husband this weekend, landing tomorrow. They are staying with us, so I was cleaning like crazy last night. We are going to have turkey breast for dinner, and I'm going to make a carrot birthday cake for her. Her birthday was 11/1...she's a saint!

Saturday we are going to a piano bar to see my niece sing, Sunday will be dinner at my brother's. A big family weekend, and I will probably gain 5#. But it will be fun!
Have a great weekend my friend!

  8. Oh! Do enjoy your time in the salon. I could always fall asleep in that process. To have someone wash my hair for me everyday….heaven. Do you suppose that is what happens to Princess Kate every day? sigh…. I don't suppose my husband would be keen on this idea? sigh… Have a great weekend. Flynn…I thought she WAS 4. eeegads. She's so cute!
