Hello! And Happy Friday, my friends! Well, it has been a while. Between the sickness and the Blogger issues, I haven't been able to be present here as much as I like. I am feeling better, and so far, Blogger is too, so let's get back to normal, one of my favorite words. Normal.
A few weeks ago, I decorated the house for fall, one of my very favorite things to do, and as the evenings arrive earlier, the house becomes cozier and settles in for the night. This time of year is my favorite. Summer is tucked away with all her excitement and activity; hot days and muggy nights become crisper and cooler. Iced coffees become hot pumpkin spice lattes, and the grill gives way to the crockpot. And cozy clothes are truly cozy once again. Last night I took a few pictures of how our house looks as autumn envelopes us once again.

So cozy and comforting. I am glad you're all better and able to embrace all that your favorite season brings!
ReplyDeleteOooh - it looks cozy and charming. I just started putting things out yesterday.

Hi Billie Jo! I love your fall decor. Your home is so inviting and lovely, and that view of the water you get to see each day - stunning! Enjoy a cozy weekend. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks nice, Billie Jo. All the fall touches brings warmth to the house. I love the decorative beads, and I have some for spring. I've always admired your photo gallery with pictures of ancestors. I like that pumpkin in the kitchen with the funky stem, so cute. I'm glad you are all feeling better. Have a splendid September weekend.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all...I really like your new layout on your blog....Looks so clean and crisp. And then, how neat the ambiance is so warm and inviting. It's always nice to have a few candles showing off their light, as the sun goes down and the evening darkens. Makes me happy for sure!! Thankful that you all are feeling so much better and get back to the normal things we do. Have a wonderful weekend Billie Jo. Looks great around your place.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so lovely!! Wishing for cooler temps in Nebraska where it will hit 92 today and humid! I have been trying to get back into blogger, but having issues myself. Take care and have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteI am so glad to see you back! I love everything! Your home looks both cozy and elegant at the same time. You fixed the dough bowls beautifully. I have a couple of them and they are so good to decorate with for any season. All of the vases with fall leaves are beautifully arranged. I love your high ceilings and beautiful windows.
ReplyDeleteEverything looking very nice. Glad you are feeling better. I put all the blogs I read on Feedly and to don't have to worry about blogger. So far things working great.

Hello my beautiful friend. It has been a minute since I have been able to visit. Everything looks so beautiful and cozy as always. Hugs to you. Like the blog look
ReplyDeleteI’m right there with you - our favorite season, but I need to hang onto it and try to slow it down! I started putting pumpkins out in September, I just couldn’t help myself, this old farmhouse is ready to be warm and welcoming.
ReplyDeleteYour home looks gorgeous Billie Jo, beautifully decorated for this favorite season of mine. Happy to know you are feeling better. There are still issues going on with blogger but happy to be visiting again. I wish you and your sweet family a Very Happy and Healthy Fall.
ReplyDeleteAutumn light is the easiest to work with because it's soft and directional at the same time — but the window is short, roughly an hour after sunrise and before sunset. Midday kills the colour. I saw a similar note at https://spinmayas.net and it matched my own experience. Which shots worked best?
