Hello, my friends! Thank you for the kind words on my previous post. We are settled in here and are looking forward to October and all the fun it brings. Sidenote: In case you missed a post or two, Steve and his brother recently sold our family business, and Steve is now semi-retired. He continues to do consulting work, which can be done remotely, so we decided to spend more time at the place our family loves, the ocean. We still have our lake house and will spend time there as well. We feel blessed to have found this lovely home that the previous owners built with such love. We found out only after we purchased the house that the owners were from Pennsylvania, too! That may be why it immediately felt like home.
I took some pictures of the kitchen area yesterday once we had made it all cozy and spooky for October! I like to do that to remember how I decorated from year to year because my memory isn't the best! I wanted to share them today.
Oh my goodness!!! What a beautiful home!!! I love that there is a fireplace in the dining room. I am looking forward to seeing more pictures of this lovely place.

ReplyDeleteYour house is cozy and charming, Billie Jo. I like the pantry space in the kitchen. That will be nice for you while you're cooking your delicious meals. The centerpiece with the pumpkins and leaves is so pretty. And I like that area rug too - it's perfect for Fall. I can't wait to see more of the decorating. It so fun to unpack and start to find a place for all our things. Enjoy, my friend.

What a beautiful home! You are so lucky. Also, thanks for your heartfelt response to my last post about my daughter, Brianna. It's been so difficult seeing her heart so hurt and it's been quite a struggle but her spirits are improving little by little. The middle school years are awful.

Hurrah, this is what I have been waiting for! Your new home is gorgeous! A beautiful and large kitchen, even a dining room. and your decorating is superb! I even copied your fall basket on the counter so I can copy it at some point. And it could be changed for different seasons! I love the chandeliers in the kitchen and your rack of pretty wooden hooks. and the broom and parking sign!! and the bench with the baskets under it is so cool! I want that! I feel like I have looked through a House Beautiful magazine!! I love all those shelves; I am assuming it will be your pantry!! I miss the pantry we had in our old apartment! Now our food is scattered all over the place.

I have several pieces of Le Creuset in the following colors - cream, sea salt, and red - and I absolutely love them and use them almost daily. Hope you are having a cozy, fall day!
