Good Monday morning! And Happy October! We moved into our new home over the weekend and spent most of Saturday and Sunday working together, unpacking and organizing. Because this move was gradual, there was not an overwhelming amount of work to do. Sitting on the couch last night, we all agreed that it feels like we have lived here forever.
We were warmly welcomed by this beautiful one on Saturday when we arrived.
This was one of the first things to go on the wall, where the original owners had one very similar hanging. I knew the moment we walked in the door and saw it that it was the house for our family.
Thanks to this housewarming gift from our dear friends Erica and Jon, the kitchen table is ready for family dinners. Thanks, guys!
So here we are!
Steve surprised me with these beautiful mums he got at the farmer's market. And now it feels like home.
I also found some time this weekend to set up my October planner. I asked Flynn to decorate it for me, and she delivered!
I have some things to do before the homeschool bell rings, so I am off. Please know I am sorry I haven't been around to visit as often as I would like. I will sit down soon with a cup of piping hot pumpkin spice and catch up! Have a wonderful Monday, my friends! Thanks for visiting.
BillieJo

ReplyDeleteYour home is beautiful and I'm so happy that it feels like home already. I can't believe there was time for relaxation on moving weekend! You must have done it right! :-) Flynn did a spectacular job on your planner. She's definitely more creative than I am. I love that your crucifix is hanging in the same spot at the previous owners. Obviously it is a household that loves the Lord and shows it to the world.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Oh Billie Jo, I so loved this post, and it looks like you are surrounded with nature, which will be so nice for you. I'm glad you are settling in, and your house looks so charming. I think a house is even more welcoming with a pot of Mums on the porch. What a thoughtful thing for Steve to do. I have to say that I got a tear when you mentioned the first item you put up in your house, and saw the Cross. That is beautiful. Your porch steps with the brick caught my eye, they are really nice looking. Settle in comfortably, and I wish you wonderful days at your new place, Billie Jo.
