We Skipped Spring And Went Right To Summer

Big sisters are the best. Flynn finished up Fourth Grade this week. (I know, she was literally just in Kindergarten yesterday.) Anyway, Madison and Nicolas celebrated her with a convertible ride complete with ice cream treats. I love how much my kids love each other. In other news, I whipped up a retro dessert last night. Any children of the 1970s remember what it is? Answer down below. : ) And finally, I actually did my hair and broke out the makeup yesterday. Still sporting the sweats. But baby steps, you know? Have a wonderful weekend, my friends. Stay safe, happy, and cozy!
P.S.
It's Pudding in A Cloud!!!

  1. Pudding looks good. My two grandsons in Florida have finished 2nd in the charter gifted school and pre k in other school. They will continue to work with me on Facetime all summer as we have done during the virus. We enjoy it..five days a week...they also do Spanish with a teacher and math with mom. My youngest granddaughter finished ninth grade-home schooled...she will work on algebra, writing, and French as she does all summer also. The middle granddaughter finished freshman year in college near here and will take summer classes to get ahead. The eldest granddaughter will be senior at Purdue...her semester abroad was disrupted by virus, so she worked online. The girls are delivering food for restaurants-no touch or near people...we are all still isolating...as Indiana is having cases of the virus. They deliver my food and treats outside with masks on...I go down and get them. This is a good time for kids to read...work ahead...and stay on the course for school...home school certainly worked for the girls-with tons of scholarships, grants, and loans. Good for you for home schooling. Love love your blog-your hair is so cute too.

I know that now I love spending time with them as they are adults. I love your hair! I hope you have a great weekend-- and I might have to make the pudding in a cloud later!

  16. That dessert, Pudding in a Cloud, sounds delicious. Now I want some haha. You look cute in your make-up picture, Billie Jo. Jess finally ordered me some make-up, as I forgot to bring it with me on the move. It has been refreshing to not wear make-up though during this time, and I'm glad I got to take a break from it. But we always feel better with make-up when we go out. What a fun day for Flynn as she finished fourth grade. A convertible ride with an ice cream treat sounds just right.

I hope you have many good June days ahead.
