Somehow it became March. Time to change up the schoolroom...
which is gradually beginning to resemble much more a classroom than a preschool.
How do I feel about that?
Kindergarten is great! We love it.
Sight words, counting bears, story time...What's not to love?!
Oh. And someone has become a reader too! : )
I added a little table with our favorite games and activities...
Soooo much better than having them hidden in a closet.
The kids play them soooo much more now.
Peyton is all about the Advanced classes...
as is my Rhett. Good thing they have each other.
I max out around third grade. : )
Recess outside one day this week!
Aaaaand...inside for the rest. : )
Which was alright with me. I got to enjoy my new fireplace insert! With apologies to all true fireplace enthusiasts...We just weren't. It is way too windy here on the hill, and quite frankly...we just never took the time. Enter my friend/contractor who suggested an electric insert. That's right. You plug it in. And use a remote. And presto. A fire. Sort of. It actually lets off heat. And it is cozy. And I'm all about that. Happy Day.
More cozy.
Braids on my girl. : )
Cinderella still rules this house.
Enough said.
I'll leave you with this happiness.
How blessed am I that my hubby does the shopping after work, AND brings me pretty flowers as well? Very. Indeed.
A sweet friend of mine from my days of Instagram recently began her own space here in Blogland. If you would like to meet a new friend, you can find her here.
Have a blessed, cozy weekend yourselves, my friends.
Thanks for visiting. : )
You are certainly blessed to have such a thoughtful husband bringing beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteThe new fireplace is great! It's all about the atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteYay for Flynn for her accomplishments in the schoolroom. And Yay for her teacher as well.
And that husband of yours! He's a GOOD man.
Now I'm off to visit your friend's new blog. Have a great weekend.
Your "classroom" is quite impressive! I've started trying to do a little home preschooling with the grandbaby recently. I might have to stalk you - or maybe just pick your brain a little - if we start getting more serious.
ReplyDeleteHave a relaxing weekend!
Oh Billie Jo, you are such a sweetheart to share my little blog. Thank you so much. Now down to business ...Will you adopt me? Ha ha I just love your photos! I agree on keeping the games out and in site. Your baby is reading? Woot woot! I remember dancing for joy, carrying each of our children singing for she's/he's a jolly good fellow, and celebrating when our children first read - such an exciting time! So happy for you all. Hope you have a great weekend and thanks again for your kind words, encouragement, and just for being you. You gave me that little push that I needed, and your support means so much to me. ❤️
ReplyDeleteYou have the sweetest home, my friend. And I Am always inspired by your darling school room :)
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful and blessed weekend! I'm off to "meet" your friend. Hugs!
Such a beautiful post on a cold and dark Saturday here in the great North. Thank you Billie Jo for the smiles. Blessings
ReplyDeleteI just love your school room, your decorations and your cozy! If you ever need a housemate helper I'll volunteer and gladly move in. ;)
ReplyDeleteBlessings on your weekend dear Friend. xoxo
A good week! I am so with you on the fireplace thing. If you don't use a real one what is the point. We have a gas one, but you have to lay down on your stomach to see where to press to light it, so we hardly ever do that, if I had an electric remote control one I would use it more I am sure. Good on you for changing it, it still looks lovely! xx
ReplyDeleteVery nice new fireplace insert, Billie Jo! Wish I could sit by the fire with you enjoying a cup of coffee!
ReplyDeleteI love the fireplace! Who cares if it's an insert? As long as you're happy, that's all that matters. I know I would love it! The ambiance of a fireplace is just heaven to me, not even counting the heat. I do miss having one.
ReplyDeleteYour home is so warm and inviting. Wish we were closer ~ I would have that afternoon cuppa with you! It's so exciting when little ones begin to read. I think that's one of the best foundations for them as it affects every aspect of life. I've always loved to read! My mother would get so mad at me. She was never still long enough to enjoy reading.
I'm off to meet your friend!
xo
