Monday Morning Coffee

Good Monday morning! Today, we head back to our home on the lake! I will miss the ocean and its peacefulness; however, I am so excited to return to the lake. It's hard to imagine that when we last were there, it was still early autumn. Now, we are thinking about Thanksgiving and decorating for Christmas! This past weekend here was wonderful! I was able, along with Steve's brother Todd and his wife, Beth, to totally surprise Steve with their visit! Todd is the brother Steve has worked with for the better part of thirty-seven years, the one he talks to every single day, and the one he considers his very best friend. They miss seeing each other, so we were thrilled they could come down. Steve had no idea, and when he saw them, he was so happy! We had a wonderful time visiting, eating, playing dominoes, sitting on the beach, and watching TV. The highlight, however, was Todd teaching everyone his favorite sport, Pickleball! Well, almost everyone. I stayed home to watch the dogs, but I promised I would give it a try. Everyone loved it and plans on continuing to learn how to play.

Todd, Beth, and their pup Ruger
We had the most wonderful weekend together!

Have a wonderful Monday, my friends. Thank you so much for visiting! See you soon!
From Pennsylvania!!!

  9. Hope you a good time driving to your house by the lake. I'm sure it will be pretty. We have seen trees change colors especially 2 of them are nice red color. I'm at a restaurant with my daughter for lunch in Silverton. She went to sign paperwork at an office. It's a bit rainy. Home soon. ๐Ÿก

  11. Yay - welcome back to the lake! And yay for all of the holiday dreaming. ;) It's sure looking like late Fall around here. NO more leaves on the trees and lots of geese flying overhead. I can smell the neighbors woodstove almost every night. So cozy. ๐Ÿงก

  13. Welcome back to the lake! :)
Glad you had such a fun time with Steves brother.
I have a neighbor who is so into pickleball. Our church has the gym set up for it weekly too, so I know a lot of people love it. I've never tried it!

  15. How great that you could surprise Steve with a visit from family. There's nothing better is there? I can hear the excitement in your words at getting back to the lake. I've never played pickleball, but then again, I'm the least athletic person in the world. I would sit back and knit while watching everyone else.
    Welcome home!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  16. What a nice surprise! I haven't tried pickleball. I thought I was the only holdout, but from the comments here I see I'm in good company. I love the last picture in this post.

And I have to say that photo of the window looking out to the Autumn tree is wonderful! Have a good rest of the week, Billie Jo. : )
