Hello there! And good Monday morning! I am sipping my super hot coffee while sitting by the fire this morning. I am enjoying Dunkin' regular coffee with some Pumpkin Spice creamer. And it is good.
We went to mass on Saturday evening, and Flynn was happy to take a selfie with her Mom...
After mass, Steve, Flynn, Rhett, and I went to a favorite little restaurant for dinner, and although I texted with Danielle telling her I was going to get something healthy, I did enjoy this amazing dessert. And I think this qualifies because I shared it with Steve! After dinner, we headed home, enjoying the day's beauty fading into night.
My Uncle Jim, my mom's youngest brother, sent me these photos of him and my mom, and I wanted to share them with you because I love them so much. It is always such a blessing when I can peek into her past as a young woman, living her life long before I knew her as my beautiful mom.
Well, it is beyond time for me to get up, get some breakfast...thinking scrambled eggs with vegetables...and start my day. Today brings school to do with Flynn, bills to send, blogs to visit, and me not making dinner because Steve cooked a delicious meatloaf dinner last night, and we have leftovers! I will end my day on the couch watching The Bachelor because sometimes I need a fix of mind-numbing entertainment at the end of my day!
Have a wonderful Monday, my friends.
Thanks for visiting!
Billie Jo
You don't have to make dinner and it's The Bachelor night? What a perfect Monday!
ReplyDeleteThat dessert looks amazing! So does the sky. Not making dinner on a Monday night sounds perfect. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteWell it's definitely healthy if you shared with Steve because it's half the calories! It's practically low fat at that point! : ) I've had that exact dessert and I can say that it's nearly impossible to resist! I love the pictures of your mom! You look so much like her in the first one!! Leftover and Bachelor over here tonight too! Miss you! April's coming quick!!! xx
ReplyDeleteAww! You favor your beautiful mama so much! Your dessert looks delicious! I know y’all enjoyed that! Hope you have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you had a good weekend and love that you shared the photos of your mom. Sometimes we forget our mothers were young girls/women who had nothing but dreams and plans for their futures. It is nice to look back!
ReplyDeleteSuch great photos today! I like the one of you and Flynn, the outside ones are so pretty and the ones of your mom are precious. As kids, it's hard for us to see that our moms were ever young, but as we get older ourselves, we get it - and then seeing pics like this is so special.
ReplyDeleteAw, you and your mom have the same smile:) I love looking at family pictures. Those days look so magical, don't they. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLove the old photos of your momma!
ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo~ I always love to see selfies of you and Flynn...she's growing up so fast! What a treasure to have old photos of your mom and uncle. Your mom is truly a beautiful soul. Leftover meatloaf is one of my favorite things in the whole world...enjoy a slice for me ;0) Have a great week! Hugs, Barb
ReplyDeleteA beautiful photo of you and Flynn and you look so much like your Mom. Isn't it wonderful to receive photos of our parents and grandparents when they were younger? We inherited a LOT of photos when we moved Mom from her house last fall.
ReplyDeleteDennis would love to be visiting you. Meatloaf is his favorite meal. Hmmm. That's an idea for dinner one night this week.
And finally, I would love to have just a bite of that delicious looking dessert. I hope you enjoyed every single bite you had.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Hi Billie Jo! I hope you had a good Monday! I love the picture of your mom and her little brother. What a blessing to have those sweet pictures. That desert looks so good - and yes sharing with your husband means that it didn't have any calories at all, right!? ;-) Beautiful pictures of your drive home Saturday evening. I hope you have a great week. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteThe dessert has some fruit on it, so it must be healthy ;) Xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun picture of your uncle and your mom :) You look a lot alike! And that dessert...yum! Hope you had a great Monday! I always catch up on the Bachelor on Tuesday because I have to watch it on HULU and have to wait 24 hours. Hope he got over his fake covid :)
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet pictures of your mom and her brother. Those old photos are always such treasures. Your dessert looks amazing. The selfie of you and Flynn is delightful. And I always enjoy seeing the loveliness of your area when you share nature photos. The snow is coming down here and hasn't stopped for two days!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week, Billie. Jo.

ReplyDeleteDessert is always deserved!
ReplyDeleteI love old pictures so much. The memories they hold. Seeing loved ones so young & in their prime. Love it
Lovely photos of your mom...it's so sweet to see them. What treasures to have! And hot coffee by the fire...sometimes we need that quiet time; at least I do, when I can just settle my mind before the day begins. As always, looks like family fun this week! Mary
ReplyDeleteNice photos of your uncle and your mom. I didn't make dinner last night either. Megan and I went out to eat. We had to get a different sandwich as one we ordered was too spicy for us to eat. We had a bit of snow again this morning ❄️. It did melt a bit after noon. Enjoy your week. ❤️
