A Touch Of The Irish

After I cleaned the house last weekend, I set a few little touches of St. Patrick's Day around the house. When the kids were little, I did much more, and they loved it! So many of the special things I decorated with hold sweet memories for them. As they grew, I gifted each of them certain decorations I knew were special to them to use in their own homes with their own families someday.

Our weekend will be cold here, so I will take advantage of that to snuggle in and read, cook, nap, and visit with my family. Soon enough, spring will beckon us outside to prepare our world for days spent in the fresh air and sunshine. I hope your weekend is cozy and pleasant, my friends. Thanks for visiting!

  2. I think it is very special that you are passing on some of your decorations to your children. Childhood memories are such a blessing and having things that can take us back to those times is a gift! I am savoring the cozy time of winter while it is still here. Hugs to you my dear friend. ~Juli

  3. Oh, I love your little St. Patrick's Day fellow. He's so cute. I only have a few things for this special day as well. That's so nice that you gave your children some items to put in their own homes. That saying on your coaster is so special. It looks like the walls in your kitchen are a light green, and that will go well for St. Patrick's Day. Always a pleasure to visit with you, my friend.

  5. Oh, your home looks so inviting! Thanks for reminding me about St. Patrick's day. The days are cold here also, 20 degrees for a high today but much colder with the wind blowing off the ocean. I am so ready for Spring!💖

  6. I decorate for ST Patty's also, as I taught Irish dance for so many years that I was given plenty of decorations!
