These weeks fly right by, don't they? Despite some chilly weather here, we had a nice week, made even better with the fun of St. Patrick's Day. Madison hosted a lovely tea party for the girls and me in the early afternoon. After that, we celebrated together here with a traditional Irish dinner of Irish Stew and soda bread. Madison brought a delicious tart, and Peyton made her yummy chocolate chip cookie pie. After dinner, we played a fun game of St. Patrick's Day Family Feud, which was a big hit!
Now we pack away the green and gold and bring out the bunnies and carrots. And Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs. I swear they taste better than any other shape. The weekend looks to be more like spring, which means less cozy couch time and more walk-in-the-sun time for me. And for Mocha, who has a new way of enjoying our walks.
Yes. You see correctly. That would be me. Carrying my pup on a walk. Now, I have a very logical explanation for this, I promise! When we walk together as a family for leisure, I take Mocha on a leash. She meanders around, sniffing and enjoying the walk. However, when I walk alone in the mornings, I carry her because she doesn't really enjoy the "let's walk fast and get this exercise over with" vibe. Do I realize how ridiculous I look? You betcha! But it's a risk I'm willing to take.
Have a nice weekend, my friends. And thank you for all the love for my dear sweet mom. She is doing wonderfully and is as happy as can be.
See you Monday!
Aw, Mocha is adorable! What lovely pictures of food! Yum!πΈ
ReplyDeleteLots of people walk the first bit and then carry their little dogs! It's very sweet!
ReplyDeleteOh your food pictures look delicious!
ReplyDeleteI say whatever works for you and your pup is grand!
Oh my goodness, my mouth is literally watering at those desserts!! π And I think it's the sweetest thing ever that you do that for Mocha. She still gets to enjoy the fresh air too...but you get your healthy exercise in too. Win-win Have a blessed weekend! π
ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo - I love your puppy carrier. So fun and very practical. Your food always looks delicious. Glad you had a nice week. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of all the food looks so good - I wanted some! Mocha is adorable and I understand completely why you carry her when it is just you two. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteAw, how cute! I bet my little diva would like being carried like that. Irish stew...why have I never thought of that? We always have corned beef, cabbage and potatoes. It's good, but I wouldn't mind trading off with stew now and then. Nice weather here this weekend, too. We're stringing the plastic eggs tomorrow and decorating the traditional Easter egg tree in the yard. Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteHey if you gotta get your steps in and Mocha isn't cooperating then you gotta do what you gotta do. LOL That giant cookie looks delicious. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteIf I had a Mocha, I'd carry her too! Adorable on steroids! Looks like a fun celebration. Hugs and thanks! Laura
ReplyDeleteI have a corgi and he can only walk a certain distance with his short legs. If I want to go on a power walk for 5-6 miles he does not come. I could never carry him.
ReplyDeleteDear little Mocha, she is so sweet. No doubt she loves being carried around and seeing what's going on. I've been known to carry Bertie sometimes when he decides he doesn't want to go in a particular direction. He can be very pedantic about where he's prepared to go on occasion. Lovely to see your post and check in with you, I hope you have a good weekend. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your posts...keeping in prayer. smiles
ReplyDeleteYour not alone BJ, one of my neighbors “walks” her two white terriers in a baby stroller everyday during the day and then later at night she takes them on their leashes for their walk! π ππ»
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tea!!!!!!! YOur family has so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a perfectly logical reason for carrying your Pup! >,-) So there! -smile-
Happy Spring!

It all looks so yummy! I have to ask where your white candle holder is from? It's so pretty.
ReplyDeleteReeses Peanut Butter eggs definitely win over the others! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are always so beautiful! I know Mocha enjoys both walks, even the "being carried" one:) Enjoy your week ahead dear friend. Our weather is Springy and rain is in the forecast later this week! I will find something to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHUGS!
These desserts look amazing! So creative and festive too! I'm sure your doggy doesn't mind how she's getting out, as long as she's getting out and about with her favorite person, YOU! Your table setting is sweet with the candle and white roses. So lovely. St. Patrick's Day is such a dear holiday. And I love all the green that comes with it. ; )
