We love this quick and easy dinner here. I serve it with a salad and some pasta sauce on the side and it makes a good homemade meal. I found this recipe years ago in a local church cookbook. Enjoy!
Pizza Stromboli
Ingredients: 1 loaf frozen pizza dough
2 Tablespoons oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon parsley
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon oregano
1 Tablespoon Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
pepperoni, chopped
mozzarella cheese
Directions: Roll out thawed dough.
Mix together all ingredients,
except pepperoni and mozzarella cheese.
Spread out onto dough.
Top with pepperoni and mozzarella cheese.
Roll up and crimp ends tightly.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
in preheated oven.
Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
I set out the dough on a sprayed cookie sheet in the morning. It is thawed and ready by dinner time. If you can't find the frozen pizza dough, you can use bread dough too. I spray a sheet of plastic wrap and put it on top. Also, I double this and make two. It is good cold as leftovers too!
Yum! That looks delish and sounds super easy. I should give this one a try some time!
ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo! My husband loves cold pizza, even for breakfast! This recipe looks easy and delish. Thank you for sharing it! I'll show my daughter too. She is a young Mom on a budget, and this would be a perfect dinner for her family.
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented, my friend! I always learn something new about you every time I come here. So fun!

Billie Jo, that looks so good! What a budget friendly meal. Thanks for sharing, I am going to copy this recipe and save it. Thanks! Have a blessed remainder of this Monday.
ReplyDeleteThis looks wonderful and so easy to make. This would be great on one of the crazy soccer nights. I could make ahead of time and the reheat when the kids get home.
ReplyDeleteWe love Stromboli dipped in homemade sauce for football games! I usually make one pepperoni and cheese, and one ham and cheese. Sometimes I add grilled onions and peppers, or shaved streak, or whatever we have on hand. Soooooo good!
ReplyDeleteBillie Jo, Colleen's stromboli is fabulous, i'm telling you! This looks amazing too. I mean anything with cheese and dough has to be good though, right? Good one!
DeleteYum! Pinning right now. Thanks for the great idea. :)
ReplyDeleteYum. Must.try.this. Is it weird that I have never made nor eaten stromboli?
ReplyDeleteOh boy does this look good! I was just trying to brainstorm easy dinner ideas since our back to school/fall ball/cross country/misc. nights have started and dinner is always such a rush. Thanks for the idea.

Yum! We usually make calzones if we are tired of pizza, but this would make a great switch up!
ReplyDeleteHow is this different than a calzone? Is it because it's rolled? No sauce? Looks wonderful. Come to my house and make supper please?
