First Day Of School 2013

Today was our very first day of cyber/homeschool, and it was great! I so enjoyed spending time with my kids in this new way...teacher and student. : ) Here are a few pictures of our first day. : )

Welcome message all ready to go!

Breakfast today was French Toast...

with fresh fruit.
I told them not to get too excited. It's back to Pop Tarts tomorrow. : )
Just keeping it real here, folks!

Madison's first day goodies...A Walking Dead shirt, some Bath and Body supplies, a pumpkin candle for her desk, and some pumpkin hand sanitizer.

Peyton's was almost the same...a Walking Dead shirt, a candle, hand sanitizer, and a handmade Walking Dead charm bracelet that she LOVED!

Rhett got a Walking Dead shirt too, as well as a candle, hand sanitizer, and a 49ers desk organizer.

Flynn loved her little magnetic dolls!

First day of school 2013...
and you may notice that they are all wearing their new shirts! As soon as they saw them, they put them on! Score one for Mom. : )

Working away...

even my little Preschooler was hard at work...

with her school hair ribbons on, of course!

And some yummy Back to School cupcakes to finish off the day!

All in all I would say it was a successful day. Thanks so much for all the kind words and support. Blessings for a wonderful new school year to you all!

  2. Love that bow in her hair. You spoil those kids and rightly so. Looks like you guys are off to a great start. Zach is a fan of that show. So far he only has a minecraft t shirt.

  6. I saw other "blog" moms giving their children gifts as well for the first day of school. That is so sweet! I've never seen Walking Dead before. It must be good for almost all your kids to like it so much.

Love the idea of the candles and cupcakes!

Looks like you have a leftie too! Three of John Paul's siblings are left handed and I'm wondering if any of our kids will be as well. Thanks for the inside look at the first day of school!

  18. Love the Walking Dean shirts!!! Sean and I love the show. Where did you get that adorable hair bow? I WANT IT!!!LOL. What are you using for curriculum this year? We have always used Setons, but after receiving Cian's CAT test scores yesterday, I think he needs an easier curriculum.

  20. That fruit looks yummy!!! What a good mama you are! Yay!! You had a super start to homeschooling...I hope (and prayed for you) that you had a wonderful rest of the week! I always feel it takes til mid Oct to get in the groove. Hopefully things will go smoothly for you!

I love how you can put bows in your little preschooler's hair. Mine will only let me do a plain pony tail. NOTHING ELSE. And I love to braid hair. I love piggie tails....stinker.
