Really Good Cabbage Soup ~ Really!

I know. I know. Cabbage Soup gets a bad rap. But honestly, this recipe is delicious. I made it yesterday morning in my new Dutch Oven~Thank you husband for the best Christmas gift ever~ And isn't it funny how our idea of the perfect gift changes in direct proportion to the number of years we are married?!

I digress. This is a great soup for lunch on a blustery winter day and works well for meal prep lunches too. Don't be afraid of the cabbage. The cumin steals the show. If you want to give it a try, here is a link to the Recipe.

(I replaced the celery with green pepper.
And full disclosure: I buy prechopped veggies at the store.
Saves time and makes me more inclined to use them!)

Have a cozy Wednesday, my friends.

  2. Soup looks amazing! I think the celery is supposed to take away the gas...so I've been told. (not that it would do it for me!)

  4. That looks delicious. Mum gave me lots of cabbage recently but I didn't think of making soup with it, instead I bulked out a few really good stir-fry's. Next time she gives me some I may have to try this! xx Susan

  9. I haven't had a good cabbage soup in a long time. This looks wonderful. Soups and stews are comforting on these cold January days.
